The first thing I have to say this morning is that I have a challenge for the few of you that read this. I am challenging myself - and therefore all of you [on the honors system] to run 5 days a week for the remaining month of October.
If you can do this - I will send you a prize. [Something I think is cool.]
You can leave me a message in my comments about how you’re doing - and if you make 5 days a week for the rest of October I send you a prize. Simple.
The only catch is that you must run for at least 20 minutes at a time. Now - running is subjective - and I’m not going to put any stipulations on speed, distance, or hell - even if you alternate jogging and walking I will count it. But it has to be running - not other exercise. You can whine all you want but nothing beats getting your heart rate up like running - and I don't really care how bad your knees are! So suck it up! [Maybe next time we’ll include swimming. Maybe.]
Why? I exercise better when faced with a challenge & the holidays are coming up - I don’t want to loose any strides I’ve made this summer at becoming healthier - and maybe you feel the same way. Therefore - let's do it together. [And if you have any friends that want in - have them leave me a post. There’s always room for more to join.]
I’ll post daily about how I did. You don’t have to - but if you want to it might make it easier.
Hopefully this will inspire us all to get a little more in shape!
Peace out! See you on the flip-side of October!
