I've been doing a lot of translating for
other fandoms lately, so I wanted to do some more Arashi translations. Plus it's fun to mix things up and translate some boys instead of girls all the time. xD
Here's a short(ish) Q&A, hopefully I'll have some more things to add in the future!

It's cute how they share preferences in girls. Aiba-kun + Oh-chan like it when girls throw things. Jun-kun + Sho-kun like their smiles. I bet Nino falls into one of the categories, but he just likes to be snarky in interviews.
Also, I like the Sakuraiba combination --- Aiba-kun can't get his muscles to show, but Sho-kun only needs to train a little for the effect. <3 And lolol Sho-kun eats so much sometimes haha. I think out of all the members, he's the one who you can tell has gained some weight because it shows on his face. ^^

Actually, I think Nino is being honest for once (even though he made it funny). In his recent It column in More, he mentions that interviewers always ask them questions about what qualities they'd want a girlfriend to have. He says that he usually tries to come up with something for the sake of the interview, but there isn't actually anything in specific for him. I can identify with that, since I've never been able to define my "type" or what features I like either. I think he's just trying to say it's more complicated and person-specific for him, which seems very Nino-y to me :)
And you're right, poor Sho. I remember him mentioning before that he gains weight easily, and unfortunately for him it always shows too. Not that any of them even come close to qualifying as "fat," but I'm sure it's still frustrating for him xD

I personally like that Sho-kun enjoys his food. I remember an HnA episode with Inoue Mao and she mentioned that she likes guys who can heartily eat. (This resulted in a crazy gyudon-eating competition... with a Sho-fail.) But I think I share Mao-chan's opinion in that it's endearing when guys show their appetite and appreciation for food. Actually, all of the members like to eat in some way or another. "Mecha umai" was one of the first Japanese phrases I learned because Riida said it so much on Shukudai-kun!
