Yay! I really like the added tranq scene to add some emotional heft to Sam's plight, and the explanation of the fake BDSM was smooth, too.
As I mentioned before, wonderful job with the atmosphere and the outsider POV. I really like how much personality Ivan had--you fleshed him out extremely well with relatively little for him to do or say---his voice was quite distinctive and I felt like I knew him.
Love how menacing the Winchesters were, even if it was largely for show, it's totally believable that they would be just this scary.
Thank you for all the work you did on it! That scene you suggested, with the dragon and the well and the dream, is still in my head even though it didn't make it on paper, but perhaps it needs to be written separately. Glad the lorazepam worked :D
The Winchesters are scary dude, imo, don't even have to fake it too hard. And I'm particularly pleased that you understood the little mention of the hell trips for what it was.
Something shifted imperceptibly. A smell of ozone in the air came from nowhere and made his nostrils tickle. In the yard, Dean stood up and took a tentative step forward, stretching his neck. In the room, Sam drew a sharp breath. And Ivan had a terrible feeling all of a sudden. He turned just as the gust of wind threw cold rainwater at his neck and made the candles’ flames jump. Ivan saw the room from that new angle in its whole, with all its shadows and its monstrosity that he had missed before

Yay for kicking off the SDMB season! \o/ Thank you so much for reading and leaving such a lovely response. They totally are incestuous hillbilly cannibals :D And yup, cassiopeia7 rocks the art department. Thank you!
