The young man who appears in the Nexus today is well dressed in expensive fabrics, a classy signet ring on his finger, and a cool, calculating look on his face. He takes in his surroundings at a glance, and casually slips a PINpoint into his pocket.

"Is it cowardice to run away from an abusive home?"

"Of course not."

Ultraman obviously noticed the other kryptonians arrival via superspeed flight. He nods to the fellow kryptonian and headtilts some.

"The dark version of myself that showed up in my world never did. Hes in a prison universe of kryptonian design now. Depowered and with no way out. Tried to reason with him a number of times. Trying to rule with fear or whatever never works for one thing. Countless people have tried and its never worked for long. Thats just on earth." He sighs and shakes his head.

"I'm sorry if I'm being an ass. Its been a rough week. I do apologize."

He really has nothing to apologize for, as he's being perfectly reasonable. The Luthor way of life is full of absolutes, and conditioning that borders on brainwashing, and much as Clark likes to call himself his own man, he's still a result of his upbringing.

"I have no need to 'rule the world.' There's little of value in it."

He nods. As much as he enjoys the human culture he very much regresses to kryptonian when in the suit. Not quite a vulcan but very polite prim and proper.

"Well mostly I was just meaning the whole thinking of yourself as a blade and such. A very broken mentality. Admittedly a trademark of the Luthor name. But still. A kryptonian mindset is one that understands all emotions are two sided. They have strengths and weaknesses. Balancing them all is the struggle of every sentient beings life."

He shakes his head and shrugs. "But anyway. What is it you do? If you do anything. Being a Luthor I'm sure you have access to near unlimited funds."

Clark smiles, and it isn't really a friendly one. "I am a weapon. One of unmatched power on my world. Why shouldn't I think of myself that way?"

He's not used to people not knowing about him, having lived in the spotlight of the media since a very young age. It's quite an adjustment. "I run my sector of the Luthor empire, and what's left of my brother's."
