A man enters the multiverse, threads of time clinging to his very pores. He is old, very old and yet his face is young and full of life. He brings adventure with him in the folds of his dusty old woolen coat for those willing to take his hand. He looks around the room memorizing each face before he finds a place to sit ( Read more... )

"I'm pretty good with where I am, actually."

"That's what they all say. Then they really think about it."

Well, that was rude.

"Er, actually, I have thought about it. Maybe not your specific offer, but the general idea."

The Captain nods. "Forgive me that was rude. I never take anyone who does not want to go. It's just that a lot of people don't think about when they say yes or no."

Jack looks the young woman up and down, not even thousands of years of living can temper his natural urge to flirt with anyone. "Ah Mayans, as much as that sounds like fun the last time I met one I almost got sacrificed....and over such a silly thing too."

"I can do pirates," he says with a grin, "Anne Bonny and I are very good friends and I think a brave lady like you would get along just fine with her."

Em's a pretty redhead, all lush curves and wicked sense of humor - it goes with the territory: she's a fertility and mischief goddess. She's stretched out on a coal-black chaise lounge. "I make it a point not to go off with obscenely attractive men I've just met."

The Captain grins wickedly back at the young woman addressing him now. "If I were to introduce myself would that change your mind my dear lady," he asks.

Oh, that's just delightful. "Most likely not, but feel free to do so anyway." There's a pause, and she decides to go ahead and say, "D'you still go by Jack, or is it just The Captain now?" She's got the ability to know names - thanks, dad, for that - but she doesn't need that to know a Jack when she sees one.

"Just the Captain now dear one," he replies, "I thought it a fitting tribute to the Doctor once he left my world."

Oh, thank God a familiar face! Captain John will race right on over there.

"Jack!"

However, this Captain John might be a tad unrecognisible.

OK, a lot unrecognisible. He's been hit be a Nexus LOL and turned into his ten year old self.

He looks up at Jack with a pout. "I want to go home! My wrist strap won't work!"

The Captain looks the young man up and down and can't help himself, he laughs long and hard. It takes him a moment to get his breath back before he answers.

"Well, well some little lad has forgotten his manners again haven't you John?"

He smirks a little bit but holds out his hand for the wrist computer.

"Give it here and I'll see what my sonic screwdriver can do."

Little!John looks confused for a moment. "Oh! Er..please..."

He holds out the wrist strap and adds. "But there's nothing wrong with it, 'cept it won't let me use it because I'm too young!"

There's the pout again. "But a sonic screwdriver? REALLY?" He's always wanted one of those!

The Captain laughs again. "I see well there might not be anything I can do about that then. But I promise I'll try."

He pulls his sonic screwdriver, slimmer and a bit more streamlined then the Doctor's out of a coat pocket and points it at John's wrist computer letting it hum away.

"As for letting you have a sonic anything I know that is a bad idea."

Victor does her own traveling, with her own special traveling buddies, but she answers anyway. "Italian Renaissance is usually my default. Must've visited five times now. I... may or may not have a minor crush on da Vinci."

"I understand, I love that period in history too, so full of art and culture with people of all races and genders thinking for themselves."

"Really pretty. Just... brilliant. Constantly evolving, innovations all the time. Though I'd be a mess if I had to mix all of my own paint."

"But that's the fun part, discovering all the new colors you can make."
