I've never read a book or seen a video that really helps with that, John boy.

"Yeah I'm getting this a lot..." John plucks dispondently at the front of his shirt. "Society is a fucking pain in the arse...all these damn rules, then they go change 'em, then it depends what day of the week it is or if the moon is half-full. How do most people figure it out?"

He brightens up a little. "Hey, you got the paint out, right? My coat better be OK..."

They're forced to live there all the time and see how it works. Even then, people make occasional mistakes. Trial and error.

A lot of my clothes were a loss, but my hair came out all right and that's what really matters. ::grin::
