'Mild-mannered' could be the best description to fit the dead man today - he sits at a fountain that dried up long ago, hands folded together and resting on his knee, expression curious and open. His suit is neat, cleaned and ironed; he still wears the lapel pin identifying him as an attorney. He smells, to those sensitive enough, like blood; not fresh, but not old enough to be rotting.

"I'll have to be forgiven for the simple question. I'm afraid if I make it too specific, I won't get an answer." He brought the folded hands to his chin, the curious expression never wavering.

"Do the ends, truly, justify the means?"
