Victor shook her head. "Home's home. I mean... I still sometimes live on my homeworld, even though I can't really go out and about when I'm there."

Little Jude was sitting next to Victor on a Convenient Nexus Couch, pushing a tiny toy hovercraft and making whirring-zoomy sounds.

Jude looked to Victor, beeped gleefully. See? See? He did it! He had a handshake!

Victor rested her hand on her kid's head, tipped her hat with her other hand. "Is this your first time over here?"

She nods, crossing her arms loosely. Not that she was trying to close herself off. It's just that there aren't any pockets on the suit and she doesn't have anywhere else to put them. "Yeah. It's really pretty odd."

"It is," she agreed cheerfully, leaning back against the couch. "You get used to it, though. It's a good place." The robot started playing with his toys again.

"It seems pretty friendly, yeah. Which is a nice change from people trying to kill you."

[victormakesart]

"Heh. Yeah, I've been there once. Here is much better." World-hopping wasn't always the safest thing. She could tell some stories.

Shard normally keeps to Hawai'i. Which isn't in her world, but it doesn't really matter. "Well, I'll have to go back eventually. Though not immediately, I don't think."

Victor accidentally found herself in a warring world when she was trying to find parts for Jude. It was exactly why she carried five PINpoints on her. "Ah. It's good to spend some time away, yeah?"

Sounds like Tuesday for Shard, really.

"Pretty much. Gives you a little time to get some perspective and breathe."

"Yeah. I totally get it! It gives you time to find a center and reorient." She fixed the black fabric cuff on her wrist. It was worn out.

Jude climbed onto her lap and she hugged onto him like he was a big metal teddy-bear.

Shard smiled at that. "I should move along. Thank you very much for your words of wisdom."

"I wish you the best of luck, Shard." A smile, and one last tip of her fedora.

Shard smiles, bowing her head. "Thank you. And you too, Jude." She smiles at the 'boy' before heading off to talk to others.
