"Ah... Birthdays are a day of celebration, for when one is born." Here's a Selene! She smiles a bit uncertainly, and she's not carrying any presents with her, but there's a slight embarrassed pink tinge to her face, hinting that there's something. "Usually they're celebrated with family - even if they aren't truly your family."

"Well, yes, but *why* are they celebrated? It is a rather arbitrary day, quiaff?" Caleb motions Selene over to the couch, smiling widely at her. "And who would you say qualifies as 'family'?" There is a certain looks he's giving her that implies that he considers her part of his 'family', so to speak.

Selene approaches and sits gingerly on the couch before speaking. "Well... Not a lot of people have the same birth dates, and it's a celebration of... well, I suppose of becoming older." To be honest, Selene's never really thought about the meanings of birthdays and what not. "And 'family'... Well, family is never restricted to those who are related to you by blood. After all, Gorion isn't my real father, but..." Selene trails off. There's something in Caleb's look that causes her to blush and look down at her hands in her lap.

Selene, that will simply not do. Caleb tries to grab her and tug her over to be with him - yes, he's aware of how shy and whatnot she is, but damnit, he likes cuddling with her.

"I would assume it's approximately one in every... number of days in the calendar people that have the same birthday. It is not that uncommon - just perhaps among the people you know." It's astonishing how he can try and keep up a normal conversation while tugging her over.

Yuuko looks at Caleb like she is very displeased with him. "Caleb. It is your birthday and you did not tell me. What now, huh?" Love is ovar :(

"Generally I have not thought of birthdays as important, other than the birthday in which I was qualified for my Trial of Position." He shrugs a little bit. "They matter much less in Clan society."

"That's all well and good, Caleb, but now I don't have a party organised for you." :(

"...why do we not just throw one spontaneously, then?" Caleb likes parties, and he likes questionably good reasons for parties. This is a perfect combination!
