Something Strange in the Nexushood

Aug 07, 2007 22:37

Suddenly, from a portal in the Nexus, hundreds of spirits come pouring out aimlessly. Where do they come from? Why are they here? Who knows, but an unlucky individual might just happen to provide the perfect host body for one of these confused -- or perhaps quite clear-thinking -- spirits. This could definitely prove to be problematic ( Read more... )

Oh what the fuck.... Come ON. Teena, happily, is immune to possession by spirits unless she chooses to allow them entry.

"Shoo, shoo!"

Having particular talents in the line of dealing with souls, she starts thinning out the rush. She's only one person, though, so there's no way she can get them all.

Peter is jogging through the Nexus. He might be off to train, he might be off to check on Nathan, or Claire, or anyone, really.

However, he suddenly stops. Not having spiritual powers as part of his grab bag o' powers, he cannot sense the spirits, not even long after he's been claimed by one.

The look on Peter's face registers as horror, and then he squeezes his eyes shut, clutches the sides of his head, and screams.

Ken is off to find a decently open area to practice some of his soccer moves--it's too much to hope for that Aya would forget his drunken acceptance of a soccer challenge, so he wanted to be sure he could actually beat him.

He suddenly stops in his tracks, dropping the soccer ball he'd been holding. He looks at his hands, then runs one of them through his hair, looking confused and then...realization slips onto his face. Almost as an afterthought, he grabs the soccer ball and walks back the way he came, head held high and with long, confident strides.

He looks like he should have a katana at his side, for some reason...

The kilted man is not looking well. He has some vague memories of horribly insulting someone without meaning last night when he was drunk... Oh wait. He's still partially intoxicated. All the better for one of the spirits to slip into him.

"Bloody 'ell. This don't look much like Heaven, but it's too comfortable for Hell." He looks down at his rumpled kilt and shirt and blinks in confusion. "Or maybe I didn't die after all, and the bloody rebels won?"

Perhaps some spirits, restless as they were in evading reincarnation as they were, shouldn't be sucked through.

Still, they're in for a nasty surprise, aren't they?
