Dear Multiverse:
Hopefully this, at least, still works, 'cause my armor's link to my base's teleporter is out of order, and the PINpoint I got after that didn't come with me. To save anyone who gets this from the blah blah SPARTAN blah, let's just say that a thing blew up and pitched me across space-time. I'm now in this underground lab complex on some alternate Earth where teleportation experiments were underway, even though it's only the early 21st century in the local timeframe. There was a dead guy in the room I arrived in -- in orange armor, which I thought was kinda creepy, even if his was a lot lighter, protection-wise -- and the scientists I showed the body to said his name was "Gordon." They also said that this place was called "Black Mesa," and want me to make my way to the surface to get them some help, which I have an awful feeling is going to be a big pain in the ass.
Any of this sound familiar to anyone? Any particular suggestions?
