Sarah looks at the pale, beautiful woman. They say you can cheat Death, but you can't lie to Her. "No." Her lower lip trembles and she tries valiently to hold back tears. "No, I'm not. I've lost my home, and..." She can't continue. She's afraid of losing the man she loves.
"I'm trying to avoid as much collateral damage as I can, but thank you for the suggestion. They do die if you kill the alien inside their head." And make a horrific shrieking as well, but she's trying not to dwell on that.
"Oh... hello, Kaa." It does seem to be the Sarah that Kaa knows. Her expression softens, in his presence. "I... I did sneak up on one...but they threw Daniel..." Her voice chokes a little. "He's going into the heart of the city to try and fix things, and he doesn't even have anything to protect himself."
Although she has never asked for one, she could really use a hug.
Sarah holds onto Kaa like a lifeline and tries not to cry. "N-no... he has Melinda and Cornelius." Saying that seems to calm her a little. Melinda's a fighter. She may not handle the after-effects of fighting very well, but she's an asset in battle. "But he... he tries to hit them with his cane, and that doesn't really slow them down much."
