Dear cellophaneroses Your wish was ...'incorporation of flower/gemstone symbolism' / 'conveying KuroFye angst in general' Merry Christmas! Media: Fanfiction Rating: PG-13 for blood Warnings: Spoilers up through celes arc.
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it :) I was a little unsure if you would, because I didn't know if this was exactly what you wanted when you asked for flower or gemstone symbolism... But I haven't actually read the end of the manga yet, so I couldn't do that prompt for you. :( Sorry! Happy new year!
This is an absolutely amazing story. The angst and the symbolism go perfectly with the narrative, every comparison is spot on with the characters.
The images of the strong yet discarded rock, and its companion the beautiful poisonous flower, are by far the best parallels I've read in regards of Kurogane and Fai. So sad and yet so true.
I feel very strongly over Fai's perspective of himself. The way he grew into not being able to cry, the way he has convinced himself that he was the source of destruction of two worlds, and thus, bringer of death for those around him.
Great story, writer/present-giver.
*I am so grateful to the Secret Santa, by the way*

But if it's you! Oh, the quality speaks by itself, then. I remember you so vividly. You have many oh so fantastic fics.
And your work in the GundamWing fandom is so damn amazing too.
