ARGH!

Dear whiny priest,

Just because I'm an elemental shammy doesn't mean I can't roll on cloth intellect pants that might drop. If it's an actual improvement over what I'm currently wearing (leather/mail or not), I'm going to fucking roll need. That does not give you the right to refuse to heal me and try to stick me with a huge repair bill. If I want ( Read more... )

shaman, how rude!, priest

Did the healer need those pants as an upgrade as well? Because if they did, they have every right to be pissed off. If they didn't then as far as I'm concerned, you're allowed to click that little need button to your heart's desire and they don't have a leg to stand on.

At this point, I don't care if he did need them as an upgrade. His tantrum lost what little consideration I had for him. Mean of me, but oh well.

Once Blizz goes back and puts in proper low-level int leather, mail and plate, I'll agree with you. As it is, I have to get any int mail and plate wearer (and often leather too) close to Northrend levels before I can sport a full set in their proper armor class (and that's with me using my other toons' crafting and the AH liberally). As such, I've no idea why the healer has more right to those pants than OP.

I agree straight away that there needs to be more lower level int gear, however I've not had too much of a problem gearing my two shammies and a baby healadin through the past year (even if it's been sparser pickings than any other clothing class). Everyone has different experiences however.

And then when you get onto mail, it gets worse, because usually when it drops, there's a healer shammy as well.
Int mail so rarely drops. D:

Haven't faced that yet. Did Uldaman with a bear!tank, kitty!druid, a rogue, and a hunter. If any agility leather dropped, I knew there was no chance I could need on it for my enhancement off-spec. Even if one person didn't need it, chances were one of the others would. *sigh* At least at the higher levels, I'd just be rolling against hunters for agility mail.

Unless it was changed drastically before Cata I don't think there's nearly as much leather as there is cloth at that level. So long as there wasn't a leather equivalent in the same dungeon, I really don't see an issue. As you get into the higher levels leather/mail should be more common.

Spot on. In the lower dungeons, cloth is about the only gear with intellect on it. Though I think about this level is when leather and mail start to have intellect as well.

I've been pissed at having to roll against shamans and druids on my low level clothies but I've never thrown a fit. It's just loot, it will drop again or something better can be found elsewhere.

I don't mind rolling against elemental shammies or boomies on my clothies, though I do get a little annoyed when I lose to them. What really bugs me is when the feral druids and enhancement shammies need on intellect gear.

at lower levels, if shamans, holy paladins and druids couldn't roll on cloth, they would be running around naked mostly.
When I was leveling my holy paladin there was no caster plate drops other than one pair of bracers in I think it was strath gauntlet side or something.
Maybe if blizzard would actually put the gear you need in teh game and we wouldn't have this problem, but so far they haven't bothered :(

Exactly. There's no guarantee I'm going to see intellect mail, so I'm going to grab what gear I can get.
