Working Titles Cause Writer's Block

Okay. I've decided. I really do hate my fic's title.
It's been bothering me for a very long time.

So I'm changing it.

And I'm even gonna' take the time to go back to all the past chapters and editing the subject lines.
Oh, and that chapter listing sidebar thing too...

For an unnecessary understanding of J.D.'s mind-ticking...

You do make me smile. And I do love you but I have to question the usage of "small" and "brief" in the definitions of cameo. There is nothing small or brief about your story. It's big (and we hope the boys are too) and dramatic and full of angst and life.

And if you don't watch Studio 60 get tonight's epi and watch it. Matthew was great. I'm so sad they didn't renew it.

Titles are serious business - it's the first thing people see (which is why I have rather, um, ambitious titles on most of my fics). :D

I don't want to be pushy, and you probably have better things to do...but I'm writing an outline today for an original fic (as opposed to slash). Would you have time to give it a quick once-over if I send it? I have one or two qualms with it, and I'd really appreciate your opinion on the issue. If not, no problem - let me know either way. And I would fucking love to take a look at it. I personally would hate working with outlines, especially before I even start writing, but we all work in our own ways, don't we? =)

Don't tell me what your qualms are though, for the time being. I don't want my attention brought to anything which may--from an external perspective--not be a problem at all, you know what I mean?

Over look the icon...love it and have to use it as often as possible...hehehe. I like the new title, but I'm into short, sweet, and to the point titles...I'd have went with Cameo or Cameo Smile...hehehe. Okay don't hit me!

I like short punchy titles too... But I just had to keep the "The One With.." 'cuz it's a Friends thing. Every episode (for the most part) of the entire series had that in its title... So... Friends, Matthew Perry... -geeky shrug-

And plus I really like how I myself am not sure who "the one" is... You know what I mean? Like... I kinda' wanna' leave it a little ambiguous about which character is 'the one with the cameo smile'...

Well it's simple...they are great big lovable kitty cats who are so pretty and cute...what's not to love? I also have a major thing for miniature horses, unicorns, dragons, and wolves...go figure.

Why limit yourself? Call it "The One With..." then you can give each chapter a subtitle to go with that. Then in then end put them all together "The One With Submission and Need and the Cameo Smile and Too Many Bottles of Wine and Slut Boys on the Sofa and and and ..." I'm not sure if I am serious here or not but it would be awesome to have a title that takes up an entire page.
