Morgana arrived in the Nexus with something of a tired sob; she just wanted to find her bed. She wanted a hot bath, and a chance to lie down, and Guinevere to tell her she was home; and Merlin to teach her a new spell. And Arthut to tell her that no, she was not evil, and whereever had she gotten that idea?
Instead she appeared to have arrived in yet another new world. A world even less familiar than the others - and which wanted her to "ask a question." It wanted her to ask a question?
"A question!" Morgana was screaming; she didn't care. She was tired. She was desperate; the wonder of seeing new universes had turned already to the bitterness of seeing alternate versions of her own; to seeing a twisted version of Merlin berating her for not turning against Uther, and ending his reign; and a version of Arthur who seemed so horrified by her very presence that he couldn't even let her believe, for one moment, that she had finally made her way back home. "It wants me to ask a bloody question... then answer me this - what do you do!? What do you do when every time you start to daydream, you find yourself someplace new - and everyone you've ever known things you've betrayed them? What do you do when everyone thinks you're evil, and you don't even know why, and it's not even you're world - but you just look back, and you're scared, because it feels like it could be!? What do you do when everyone you love, and everything you care about, is falling apart - and nobody will even tell you what you're supposed to have done to deserve it!?
"Can you answer me that, Nexus?"
She doesn't really expect an answer, of course; but she's tired; and she's alone; and she's still not home; and dang it all, she's going to yell; because Morgana isn't really certain what else to do.
