What an Awesome day!!!!

Yaaaaay! Just two games away from the title!!! And we threw Arsenal out, how much better  can it be?

I didn't miss the game after all! I made it back just in time for kickoff. And what an awesome game it was, I'm so delighted I got to watch it, despite the fact that we were pretty much awful in the first half. But, who the hell cares? We won, and ( Read more... )

Really. How many chances did Arsenal manage to fuck up? Keep the beautiful football (like we don't have any...) if it makes you happy, we'll get the trophies even when we're being shitty. OH but I feel so bad for Cesc. He works his socks off and he's a respectful opponent. And well, Walcott put up a real fight too.

I don't know, will it be bad for their confidence (as most of them are such young players) to have these disappointments every year.

Edwin was bloody brilliant. It kind of eluded me why he failed to grab that ball before Adebayor got his arm to it but I'll excuse one any day. Rio, how was he able to keep so calm? There was this point near the end when we just completely failed to make a good clearance and every time Arsenal players shot the ball back Rio was there ( ... )

Yes indeed, all the beautiful football in the world is useless when you can't keep your nerve and know how to win ugly when required. I think we've got the best balance of all the sides, we can do it prettily as well as ugly.

Yeah, they are in danger of being completely demoralised. I think Wenger needs to get some big names in there that will help lift their confidence. And yes, they need to win something, anything.

Yeah, you can just tell when Cris is not taking it. He's totally disinterested as to how the ball is placed. I'm surprised the Arsenal players didn't pick up on it. I think it's starting to get really competitive between him and Owen as to who is the better free-kick taker. Good for us, I say, they're far more likely to be on target!

Owen is so much of love. And I adore his English Canadian accent, I think it sounds lovely!

I'm afraid I can't really remember much of Mikey except for the great interventions in second half. That's his strength, you don't really notice he's there because he's so very efficient. I hope ( ... )

i was really getting frustrated in the last 15 minutes (especially) when united seemed to have been complacent, letting arsenal into their own half way too often. i was like, 'not again'. since arsenal has that thing of scoring at the last minute or so. *facepalm* needless to say, i was relieved when we came out with the win. LOL.

owen's freekick was fantastic! and the celebration afterwards, so, so cute. gah.

two wins is it? it would be absolutely fantastic to win it at SB. :)

I don't know, once we got the goal, I was pretty confident we would hold on! Yes, it was a bit nervy, but Arsenal just lack that killer instinct.

Yeah, I want to win it there too! I think Chelsea are unbeaten at home since the last 3 yrs or something! :0 Wouldn't it be great if we broke their record as well as won the title?

Felt kind of sorry for Cesc as well but as Rio said, it's all about United so tough luck. Also, Wenger makes me sooo furious. I knew he would once again whine about the conspiracy of the refs. After a match where his team's only goal should have been disallowed for handball. Aaargh!!

I always think that if Harry Potter were real, that's how his eyes would look!
That reminds me - I watched the match without commentary as the audio was a few secs ahead of the picture. But by now I downloaded highlights and stuff and heh. Commentator said that United levelled the score-line through "you-know-who". Awesome. Cristiano as Lord Voldemort. Truly awesome. Heh.

Well you know what managers are like. They can never admit that they didn't play well. Wenger is annoying, but I don't think he's any worse than some of the others out there. What annoys me more is the fact that almost everyone in the media seems to agree with him that Arsenal have somehow saved the football world all by themselves, despite the fact that they've won nothing. Give me a break!

*laughs* That's really awesome! I suppose Cristiano is sort of a Lord Voldemort to the other teams, they're all running scared off him! But he reminds me more of Sirius, he's got the same kind of recklessness and charisma! Also, Sirius was my favorite character, so that's probably why I see Cris in the same way.

Yeah, it's just - do the others have the nerve to like publically declare a conspiracy? Jose aside, I know he did. Heh. But back to Wenger - downloaded the analyses of the match from manutdclips.blogspot.com and exactly. Also about Gallas who looks completely useless. Thank God, we have Rio deputising as long as Gaz is not fully back to fitness.

Spot on about Cristiano being the other team's You Know Who. Surely Fergie is Dumbledore, right? I mean, not in the 'arch enemy to Voldie'-kind but with his footie wisdom and all? Yes.

Yes indeed, Fergie will make a fine Dumbledore, he's so omnipresent.

I think Wazza is like Ron Weasley, the same kind of loyalty and short temper! So who is Draco, I wonder? Nando maybe, with the blond hair? But he's way too nice!

I've been trying to reply to you since yesterday, but stupid LJ is not allowing me to! I hope at least this time it works!

Ya, isn't it amazing how well it fits? Especially Arsenal, and their 'intellectualness' Doesn't Wenger strike you as some kind of professor? So Ravenclawish! And us with the bravery, and Liverpool with the loyalty, and Chelsea with the stinking amount of money...it's incredible!

Lampard would probably be Draco, he really strikes me as a spoilt rich kid who's actually a coward inside.(I really don't like the book Draco, the movie Draco i.e Tom Felton, is rather cute, though!)

Nando as Cedric? That would be perfect! The guy who noone can hate, he's so nice!

Cris as Hermione? *laughs* I never thought of it that way! But Cris is far too vain, he's more like Draco in that respect! Although you are right about him being a perfectionist.

So go on, who would be Ginny? And the twins? I can so see Fletch as one of the Weasley twins!
