Wow! What can I say. We were just brilliant today. Some of the football we played was so mesmerizing, it sent goosebumps up my arm. I'd be tempted to say this was the best we've played all season- there was the Arsenal game, and the two against Newcastle, but this was just something else! I'm still reeling from it!
And my Cristiano! Here I was

I know, the pitch was like a mud bog! And it was raining cats and dogs! You know, I always wondered why they don't stop a match when it's raining so hard. They do it for all other sports. Not that I'm complaining, the view is great - all those wet t-shirts clinging to those gorgeous bods, but surely they can wait for it to stop?
And he seemed so relaxed and happy
I love it when he allows himself to celebrate the goal so naturally. No anger or frowns, or trying to looks smug. There was such genuine happiness on his face, it made him look so gorgeous!
After that first incredible pass I just knew we would win.Yeah, the one to Wayne on the left wing, right? That was so beautiful and so effortless. When he's on form, he makes it look so easy. And he totally outclassed Gareth Barry. (sorry gareth, nothing personal, but my Mikey deserves it more than you) I hope Capello was watching and taking notes ( ... )

See. That's another disadvantage of those damn livestreams - pic is also too crappy to ogle the pretty in detail. *pouts and reminds self to download the thing after the match today*
Yup, the one to to Wayne and Barry who? ;P I really hope Capello watched and will see reason from now on. ;D
I agree about the 3 man midfield against Roma. Seems like the way to go. I also would guess that Scholes and Anderson will both play a half or something. Fergie seems very keen to not over-do it with Scholesy.
Yup. A tall strker who can head the ball. And as great as it is that both Tevez and Wayne get involved so much in the game as such, I think it would be great - at least in some matches - to have somebody just sitting in th ebox, waiting for that cross. I might go about it all wrong but seems to me as if that could make our game even faster in certain situations.

Ferige has been rather careful with Scholesy. It's a good thing, we need him fresh for the later stages of CL. But now with Fletch out, I dare say he won't be rested quite as much. I hope Owen can step up and put in a few good performances. I wasn't too impressed with him as right-back, but then that's not his natural position, so we'll ignore it.

I totally agree with you. I always wondered why we got rid of Ruud, because, ironically he's exactly what we need right now. It will be rather silly if we have to end up spending even more on a new striker, when we could easily have kept Ruud.
But then, conversely, I remember hearing that Ruud wasn't good for the team, because he was too rigid. Ahh, it seems like a real conundrum!

Oh god what pretty pictures! *stares at Pats' thighs* thanks for posting them here, really :D
I blame Bolton. Arsenal didn't even step up that much, Bolton just completely lost the plot. Especially the last goal for Arsenal that deflected from the two Bolton defenders, that was completely down to them to keep out :P
Cesc, why must you be so adorable celebrating when I really just want to hate you? Adebayor was totally swinging him around in his arms after the match *feels sick*

You're welcome, I love finding gorgeous pics of our boys and sharing them!
Yeah, Bolton were really dire. Come on, what kind of team can't defend a 2-0 lead when they're playing 11 v 10? Such terrible defending for that Gallas goal, and then giving away the stupid penalty. That last goal was hilarious, it wasn't going anywhere near the net, but of course the Bolton defenders had to guide it in.
I know, it's so difficult to hate Cesc. Especially when he gets all teary-eyed and emotional. Some part of me was happy for him and his team. *feels traitorous*

(and I agree. Carrick-Scholes is still United's best CM pairing :))
