Oh God. Such a shitty match. And well, individually they deserve an off-day but as a whole? Yeah... Well, it happened and thanks to Tevez we at least got the draw.

It wasn't until the last 15-20 minutes that we got going. Which makes me wonder why we couldn't play like that right from the beginning. *sigh*Exactly. I mean, okay, fresh feet with Nani (who pisses me off muchly) and Anderson the babe. And I agree with you that maybe all those intense matches in such a short space of time were a bit much for Scholesy. And nope, he and Owen didn't really work out all that well. Gah ( ... )

Well that's the part I don't get. How can all 11 players have a bad day? I know we have great unity and team spirit, but really that's taking things too far....

Nani is still irritating, but I think he has improved. At least he doesn't give the ball away as much, and does track back sometimes to defend. But his decision making is still horrible. The no. of times yesterday that Wazza and Carlos were screaming for him to pass the ball and he chose to shoot....He better listen to them next time.

Maybe a belated reaction to that useless trip?
I hope it's not that. Because then Wenger would be right when he said that we would regret the trip. And I really don't want him to be right, the smug bastard. Alright, he's a good manager, but does he have to be so smarmy?

I think it was a dive which is what hurts most about this match. That Wayne felt the need to dive or at least let himself fall ( ... )

Well, from personal experience I know how hard it can be to break out of being off. It's hard to break the rythm of everybody else around you but yeah - they = professional footballers, me = not.

Yeah, that's right. Nani doesn't give the ball away as much and he may try to shoot from ridiculous positions wheen we're up 6:1 but not when we're trailing by a goal. I hope, the others had a few words with him.

Okay yeah, Wenger can't be right. No, no.

About Wayne's 'dive'. I don't think it was him being frustrated about not scoring himself as it would have been Cristiano to take a penalty. More frustration that they couldn't score, couldn't break through. He is a team player above all else.
And thank you for clearing up the regulations. Just gah but yeah. Can't do anything about it.

Yup and they're not exactly doing it for free, so that shouldn't be an excuse. Oh well, lets just forget it as a bad day in the office and look forward to the next game where they will play so brilliantly that we'll wonder if all this was a bad dream.

I'm sure Wazza at least will have had a few strong words with Nani. But then, it's not something that you can teach a player in a few days. It was years before Cristiano got the kind of awesome decision making that we're seeing today. I hope Nani is a quicker learner.

I don't think it was him being frustrated about not scoring himself
Yeah, I'm sure he didn't do it to give himself a chance to score. What I meant was that he feels it's his resposibility as a striker to get the goals, and perhaps he got a bit desperate. At that time, he would have taken a goal no matter where it came from. He was thinking of the whole team and how they couldn't afford to lose points. But that doesn't really excuse it, and I hope he never feels the need to do it

i think it's a very good thing they didn't show the game here, and that i accidentally slept through most of it. but at least we managed a point, yeah? but still, we're second, and our goal differences have been cut down. gah. it's gonna be a tight race til the end of teh season. and i'm afraid things are not gonna get easier from here on out with the fa cup and the champions league, especially if we keep in the competition. sigh. but we can do it. we are manchester united. :)

Yeah, it's going to be awfully difficult to stay in all three competitions, but like you said, we will manage it. I can't imagine us giving up on any of those competitions until we are absolutely forced to.
