John led Zarine into the Dean's office. "Excuse me, Dean? I found this girl in the woods, and I was hoping you could help her out?"

Zarine followed John into the office and surreptitiously reached for a couple of her knives when she saw the figure sitting behind the desk. A sideways glance at John, however, stilled her hands before she actually drew them. If he wasn't worried, this must not be a Shadowspawn.

"Of course," Drax said. "What's wrong with her?"

"Um, she's not from around here," John replied. "Zarine, tell him what you told me about the forest and the ocean."
