One of the things I love about this (and there are a few) is that we never see them stop staring at each other. There's a little time jump, and they cut to them talking about the case.

Same. XD Or say something along the lines of "If you two aren't actually gonna make out, can we get back to the slowly decomposing organs?" And Dean would come back with a terribly witless retort along the lines of "Bite me, Sam."
