I can see where you're coming from - at least with Mara gone it will actually mean some meaningful character development for Luke and Ben (hopefully). I agree that it just wouldn't be right for Luke to go dark at this point, he's been there and beaten that too many times, but it will be so interesting to read about how he will deal with it.

From what I've been hearing, it sounds like Mara is pretty well-written in Sacrifice, which is interesting. I'm really curious to see how her death is going to be handled, especially in terms of Luke and Ben.

I'm trying to resist the impulse to ramble at length any further, though, at least until I've actually read the book. :p
