This is wonderfully bizarre: Toilets: Taboo for TV Until 1957. They refused to air the episode with a whole toilet in the scene. *snerk*

On a completely unrelated note, the White Collar season finale was all kinds of awesome.

Wow. And here I thought "where are the toilets?" was just pointing out one of those funny but unintentional omissions - I had no idea there was an actual ban!

Apparently it's more reassuring to believe that fictional characters exude waste from their pores or something? (Really, TV's not the only medium at fault on this front...)

Oh, that's funny. I know where the toilets on the Enterprise are, though. It's in the diagrams of the Enterprise.

Hm, but isn't there just one toilet block for the whole ship or something, though? Maybe it's just bad design...
