My feelings on news about delicious being shut down can be summarised thusly, I think. It's not my own bookmarks that I care about, because I don't have many there and they're easily exported and saved elsewhere, but the community. How else am I supposed to trawl the web? How am I meant to find decent fic

I've backed mine up so now I'm waiting to see where fandom is going to go with theirs. AM NOT HAPPY!

Yeah, I'm not sure I exactly buy their 'oh no, we're not shutting down' backtracking now. It took them long enough to get a clear response together that you wonder what's happening back there....

They probably didn't understand that people really want delicious. They saw it as a drain and didn't even think outside their little box until people started howling.
