Timeframe: Somewhere around the YJK/JJK era... before NJO, anyway.

Summary: Because the praxeum must have some equivalent to being sent to the headmaster's office.

Nicely done. Loved the "thunderpants!" LOL I really liked how patient Luke was with Jacen - and although I know very little about the EU books I did fel a ceratin sense of Melancholy for Jacen and his future.

Groan-inducing jokes FTW! I'm glad Luke's patience came across, and I'm glad that the melancholy sense was there too -- I did try to incorporate some subtle nods to the gloom and doom ahead (because I'm evil like that :p).

OMG HI! I actually thought of you and your awesome Jacen fics when I posted this, so it's great to see you! Glad you enjoyed the fic, also. This being my first attempt at Jacen characterisation, I wasn't sure how it would go, but he cooperated quite well.

I would love to read fic about the relationship between Luke and the Solo offspring, and I wish there were more of it around. Surely Jacen woke Luke up at two in the morning with philosophical insights he'd just discovered in the early NJO? And wasn't Luke proud of the fact Jaina was so successful in the squadron he co-founded? And, and... I'm going to stop before I get carried away. :p

THERE NEEDS TO BE SO MUCH MORE FIC ABOUT LUKE AND JACEN! I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS VERY LITTLE AND AM SADDENED BY THIS LACK. AND JAINA AND JACEN NEARLY KILLED ME IN INVINCIBLE, SO I COULDN'T NOT MAKE REFERENCE TO THEIR BOND BACK WHEN IT WAS NOT BROKEN AND A CAUSE FOR ANGST AND DESPAIR. D:

Loved this. Love that Luke is completely rubbish at tedious expense calculations, love Jacen's whining about Anakin, loved the interactions between him and Luke - and that it all plays beautifully into Jacen's choices later on.

Thanks so much! I think Luke being completely bored by and therefore not very good at managing accounts has incorporated itself into by personal fanon somewhere along the line... it seems exactly like the sort of thing Owen would have tried to teach him and Luke would have been too busy daydreaming about the best course through Beggar's Canyon to bother to learn. *g*

Great piece of interaction! Jacen's petulance and Luke's patience are wonderfully pictured. I loved Luke's dry humour here. And looks like he will need Mara's help with that report after all.

Thank you! Luke's sense of humour gets overlooked from time to time, and really having a sense of humour is the only way to deal with stubborn teens without going completely insane. Or turning murderous. :p
