Thank you! I have a sneaking suspicion that it rambles on a bit, but I've always been interested in how Luke deals with that side of Anakin's actions. Even with Anakin's last act and his redemption, there's a lot there that must be painful for Luke to discover.

Thanks for reading. :D

Aww. Luke just can't stop to care, and continues to seek this reconciliation, these places that cause him pain.

I loved everything, for example his thoughts about his mother, and Breha Organa, and his dream about what was lost, 'a welcome warmth at the back of his mind, a joining and a belonging only ever a breath away.'

And Tatooine, 'The smell on the air was indefinably that of Tatooine: ancient, dry, deep with shadows'.

And the ending of course.
Great work! Utterly anguished but brilliant story.

Thanks so much! I'm pleased that the Tatooine description stood out because I tweaked it a couple of times to get it right.

Really glad you enjoyed. :D

I liked this story, Luke would have such a mixture of feelings about his father and you showcased that perfectly.:)

I think he would have to struggle with it occasionally, because there's so much to deal with. Glad that came through, and thanks for reading. :D

How very sad for Luke. He made no discovery other than to think about his own way in the galaxy, no revelation. It was a lovely introspective piece. Great job.

This was beautiful.

I especially love Luke's thoughts and questions about his mother. It seemed very true that he felt distant from her, and wonder what she would have thought of him.

So sorry for the much-delayed reply! Very glad you liked the story. I've always thought that Luke's position re the twins' mother is interesting, because apart from that one small bit from ROTJ, he barely seems to give thought to her at all, despite all the daddy angst. I can't say the EU's response has really impressed me all that much, either. :p

Thanks so much for the comment.
