Preordered Outcast from Amazon at the start of last week, haven't received it yet. I'm cautiously optimistic, but then I think I said the same at the start of LotF. *sigh* The Ben-and Luke-in-exile notion has potential, and I still have some faith in Allston. callmelydia posted a two-part review of it. The Luke/Ben parts seem pretty good. After Outcast, though, I'm only going to buy these books used. I originally wasn't going to buy them at all, but the urge to read and snark is strong. Darn it. :p

I saw that, but I'm still trying to avoid spoilers in case it's necessary in order to preserve my bubble of optimism. :p New is about my only way to get hold of the books, because pre-loved book stores locally only have... really pre-pre-pre-loved books, and the library purchases about every third book in each series. *facepalm*
