I've been reading a lot and racing a lot and doing precious little else that I'm not required to do. Work is work; I like it and it pays the bills but I'm not making any financial or personal progress with it so in the back of my mind I'm starting to ponder other options. We've got a six-hour endurance race in rFactor coming up on our schedule in the SCOR Panoz World Series. That'll be something.

Nice. I've been messing around with rFactor a bit lately, but I still can't find any cars in it that feel as good as LFS feels to me. There sure is a ton of content available, though.

The Panoz ALMS GT2 apparently is quite accurate, if you believe real-life GT2 racer Tom Milner Jr. He said his in-game telemetry almost perfectly matched his real-life telemetry except where the sim's track was off. These are the cars we race on Sunday nights in the SCOR Panoz World Series (http://www.drivescor.com).

A few real Formula BMW racers are competing in the rFactor version of those cars in the SimCar league.

A.J. Allmendinger has raced all kinds of rFactor cars, from the Formula ISI to ProtoRacer to rF3 and now competing in stock cars in a TPSCC league.

The Protons in the ProtoRacer mod have been used by Luis Diaz in training for Grand-Am Rolex Series races.

So those are a few with rather reliable recommendations.
