This Huffington post article from 2009 decries big salaries paid by Goldman Sachs et al.  The author is Gerar McEntee the head of the most powerful government employees union.

He doesn't mention that he's been getting paid over $500,000 for at least the past 3 years.  That's in taxpayer money.

Union leaders are not paid with taxpayer funds.

They are paid from Union Funds, e.g., dues. These come from the members, not the taxpayer.

dues are being collected directly from the paycheck of the government emplyoee. That is taxpayer money.
