that's awesome. i knew that there must be a way...but seeing as how i know nothing about ipods or car receivers or wires or shitty squealies...well, it was pretty much a given that i wouldn't think of it.
I'm in the market for an ipod (actually hoping my parents will get me one for my b-day), I might have some questions for you when I get closer to buying one...is it as good as I imagine it to be?
i love my ipod and haven't had any problems with it. i just wish i had an easier time listening to it in the car. the fault seems to lie in the fact that seattle has quite a few fm stations so it's hard to get a nice clean signal from the fm transmitter. i can always hear my music just fine, but there's a really high pitched squeal in the background that isn't very loud, but just loud enough be irritating. i've spent a long time considering whether i should buy a different brand of fm transmitter and from what i've read, the quality of sound has more to do with the area in which you are driving than in the model of transmitter you are using. many car stereos allow an ipod to be easily connected through an auxillary jack, but my car doesn't have one of those and it seems it's impossible to install one. i discovered today that i can install an fm modulator behind the dash that will replace the fm signal when turned on (instead of just covering it up). there are just alot of options because it's a market everyone is trying to make
