Closer than I would have liked...

*For the first time, Signum's actually availing herself of the GDF's infirmary facilities.  While she wasn't seriously injured, she received a number of nasty cuts, and doesn't want the bother of recuperating on her own*

Plus, it seems I can't recover from this kind of thing as fast as I used to.  How ( Read more... )

Totally not filling in for Shamal here anew_redshirt September 30 2009, 12:13:31 UTC
Well, I'll admit that by the sounds of it that had been a difficult mission. That being said, we've had worse here in the infirmary.

You should be fine. Besides, never hurts to have another lesson that you should air on the side of caution, right?

Only in terms of my pride, but sometimes that needs to be trimmed, so to speak.

Hey, don't beat yourself up too much about it. You still showed that new TSAB mage how things are done when you have a disadvantage.

True. If she learns from my mistakes as well, I'll consider this a rousing success.

Signum ma'am... it just shows us we can never underestimate the opponent. This mission was silly, but deadly at the same time.

But you shouldn't feel bad about this. At least you were able to do something. All my attacks had no effect, even after these power-increasing panels were destroyed.

Feel free to ignore this if it would kill Tea's only character conflict deadlyinpink September 30 2009, 18:55:27 UTC
Private Lanster...haven't you been learning about teamwork in your training? Your support was essential to dividing that swordsman's attention - without your illusion spells or cover fire, I could have been seriously injured, or he could have escaped. If anything, I was less effective than you before the panels were removed.

Also, you got that strange man with a guitar pretty good.

Support, huh? Is that really the best I can do?

That guitar wielding man... I think his name was Axel, seemed pretty weak to me. More a showoff than a real threat.

But he made up for lack of power in general weirdness. Where are people like this coming from?

Don't worry about it. We all screw up sometimes. Everyone got back safely, and that's the most important thing.

Exactly. As long as we live to learn from our mistakes...

I'll be fine, Testarossa. I just wound up in a more difficult fight than I anticipated.

Are you in need of more practice?

Always. Although the problem here was less my sword skills than my ability to observe. Perhaps I should come with you the next time you need backup on an investigation and learn from you.

You do not have to thank me, the modification was your own. Do you have names in mind?

deadlyinpink October 2 2009, 17:25:01 UTC
Well, my other techniques are all named something Flash (一閃,issen). What's the name of your sword attack, again?

code_ata October 2 2009, 18:01:44 UTC
It is coded as 'Mirage Sign'.

In spite of intentionally NOT asking Ryusei for help, I've managed to turn into Doggie anyway deadlyinpink October 2 2009, 18:13:52 UTC
Hm...do you think Mirage Flash (蜃気楼一閃, Shinkirou Issen) would be acceptable?
