That's actually a really smart move. I can tell you that a lot of my unhealthy eating habits from childhood were based on drinking 2-3 2-liters a day.

When I came to US, I was not exposed to pop all that much. There were times where I couldn't get out of bed without a bottle of Coke. About 7 years later I found myself taking Compiler Construction class and drinking 4 2-liters a day of the generic Walmart variety until I finally read somewhere what it was doing to me. I just used it to make myself feel happy and jacked on insulin.
