Making it Through the Summer
Chapter 20
[Pt 1/2]

Monday, September 23rd
8:15 a.m.
Vangard

Brian strolled into the office Monday morning feeling refreshed, and it had everything to do with Justin. He had the time of his life in Chicago, largely because Justin had been fun during the day and incredibly hot at night. The weekend had been more than he could ever have imagined. He only hoped that things continued to improve between them in the coming days.

"Good morning Boss," Cynthia grinned as Brian approached her desk.

"Morning, Cyn," Brian drawled, setting down the Godiva Chocolatier bag he had brought with him on her desk.

"For me?" Cynthia looked up in surprise.

"Who else would I go to all this trouble for?"

"Oh, my goodness!" Cynthia exclaimed as she took out the collection of chocolates Brian had purchased for her. "I can't believe you did this."

"I can't have you slipping up, now can I?" Brian smirked. "The next few weeks are going to be crucial when it comes to our future success."

"Absolutely," Cynthia agreed, knowing that her boss had been alluding to his business partner. She was eager to help him eliminate the threat of Vance once and for all. "Now on to more important matters. How was your weekend?"

"Not bad," Brian replied nonchalantly, not about to reveal any intimate details.

"Would you care to elaborate?"

"Let's just say things went better than expected," Brian offered, feeling it best to leave it at that.

"Really? I'm impressed. However, I get the feeling you're not going to offer me any further information."

"That's correct."

"Then can I ask how many Armani suits you bought while on the Magnificent Mile?" Cynthia asked, knowing he wouldn't have passed up the opportunity to visit his favorite designer.

"I came home with two, among other things. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm sure I have several irate voice mails from Vance waiting for me."

"You're probably right," Cynthia nodded. "I put your mail on your desk. Oh, and Brian..."

"Yes?"

"Thanks for the chocolates."

"You're welcome. However, don't even think of complaining to me when you gain an extra pound," Brian warned, before turning to enter his office.

2:00 p.m.
A Starbucks Near PIFA

Justin was sitting at a table near the window waiting for his best friend to arrive. Since Daphne had to work that evening, they decided to meet early in the day so they could catch up on the trip. They hadn't seen one another for several days, and Daphne had spent the night at her boyfriend's the previous evening.

"Hey Jus," Daphne smiled as she came over to Justin's table with a latte.

"Hey."

"So, how was the trip?" Daphne anxiously inquired. "I'm dying for details."

"It was amazing." Justin said, breaking out into a large smile.

"Amazing?" Daphne repeated, slightly surprised. She still didn't trust Brian entirely when it came to her best friend.

"Uh-huh," the blond nodded.

"Wow! Give me details."

***

"Ethan was in Chicago?" Daphne was surprised to hear about the fiddler showing up at the hotel. "I bet Brian must have loved that."

"You can say that again," Justin shook his head in amazement. "Unfortunately while Ethan was going on and on about what I was missing, Brian decided to return to our suite."

"No shit?"

"Tell me about it. Let's just say Brian wasn't too thrilled to see him, and well Ethan didn't make the best out of the situation."

"I'm not surprised," Daphne sighed; she never had cared for the pretentious violin player.

"Anyway, Ethan started saying some ugly things, and you can imagine how Brian reacted."

"Is Ethan still in one piece?"

"Yeah, although his jaw is probably still bruised."

"Well, good for Brian," Daphne smiled, glad to see the fiddler had received his just desserts.

"Enough about Ethan. You have to hear about our trip to see Signor Grazzini."
"How did that go?" Daphne inquired.

"Well, Grazzini is totally cool; however, his head designer was a different story," Justin laughed at the thought of Stefano Levi.

"What was his deal?"

"Remember when you took that trip to Italy with your parents during junior year?" Justin asked.

"Yeah," Daphne smiled at the memory.

"Remember what you said about the men?"

"Don't tell me the designer was gay," Daphne rolled her eyes.

"Yep," Justin nodded in confirmation.

"Let me guess, he thought Brian Kinney was his ultimate fantasy."

"Not exactly."

"Then he must have thought you were," Daphne surmised.

"Uh-huh."

"That must have been interesting."

"You could say that, especially when he tried to seduce me in his office."

"He what!" Daphne exclaimed. "Fuck, Brian must have loved that. Does your Italian admirer have a bruised jaw also?"

"Luckily, he doesn't. Although he did call Brian a pimp," Justin chuckled. "Actually, once it was established that I wasn't interested in him and that I had a boyfriend, things went much smoother."

"Good, I'm glad," Daphne smiled. "Do you think you'll get the account?"

"Brian seems to think so, and I tend to agree. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

"I'm sure you'll get it," Daphne assured, wanting the best for her friend.

***

"It sounds like you had an amazing time," Daphne concluded after Justin had filled her in on the remainder of his trip.

"Totally amazing."

"So, how were classes today?" Daphne asked, turning the subject toward school.

"Not bad. I had an art history class, and a drawing class. I think they'll be alright. Brian is going to be thrilled when he finds out I have to do a self-portrait for my drawing class," Justin sighed.

"Why would he be thrilled?"

"Well, after seeing van Gogh's self-portrait, he's convinced I should do my own."

"It sounds like he's going to get his wish," Daphne grinned.

"Unfortunately," Justin murmured, not exactly thrilled with the prospect of drawing himself, even if he knew it would please his lover.

3:30 p.m.
PIFA

After meeting Daphne for coffee, Justin decided to head to his studio for a few hours. He wanted to do some cleaning and organizing for the new quarter, in addition to assessing the supplies he was in need of purchasing.

"Hey, Justin," Gina, one of the students who had a studio space near the blond's, greeted him.

"Hi Gina," Justin smiled.

"Your order from Utrecht came this afternoon."

"Utrecht?" the blond repeated in confusion. He hadn't ordered anything from the art supply house.

"The enormous box you must have ordered that looks filled with art supplies," Gina elaborated.
"I figured you would be stopping by today, so I put it in my studio to hold it for you."

"Thanks," Justin gave a wary smile, still confused about where the mystery box had come from.

***

"Damn this is heavy," Justin murmured, as he lifted the box out of his friend's studio.

"Tell me about it. You must have cleaned them out," Gina laughed.

"Guess so," Justin shrugged as he headed for his own studio space.

***

Once he was in his studio Justin wondered aloud, "What the hell is in this?" as he set the box down. "I might as well open it."

"Hmm..." Justin murmured as he ripped the box open. "Acrylic paints, oil paints, watercolor paints, and tempera paints?" he said taking the items out of the box. "Someone must obviously know I have two painting classes this quarter," he mused, as he continued reaching inside of the box.

"Looks like you're planning on painting in the next few weeks," Gina observed as she entered Justin's studio, curious to see what her friend had ordered.

"Uh, yeah," the blond nodded as he began pulling out sable brushes along with bristle brushes for oil and acrylic painting.

"That's a really nice set of charcoals," Gina complimented, as Justin added them to the massive pile of supplies that were now resting on the table.

"Uh-huh," Justin agreed, as he retrieved drawing pencils and pastels from the box.

"Anything else?" Gina asked.

"Just the bill," Justin lied, as he reached for a white envelope that was resting on the bottom of the box.

"I'll leave you to have fun with that," Gina smiled. "However, I'm warning you, I might be stopping by this quarter to borrow some of your paint," she laughed.

"No problem," Justin said, as he began to tear open the envelope, not even noticing his friend leave the room. He pulled out the card from the envelope and began reading.

J-

Consider this your bonus for a job well done on Grazzini's.

-B

"Oh my God," Justin breathed, stunned by his lover's generosity. He had to have ordered the supplies before they had even met with Signor Grazzini. To think that Brian had wanted to do something this thoughtful even before their presentation brought a huge grin to Justin's face. He would be sure to thank Brian later for his unbelievable thoughtfulness.

Meanwhile
Brian's Office

Brian was sitting at his desk reviewing the latest copy for Liberty Air when his cell phone rang. He immediately broke out into a smile when he saw the phone number displayed.

"Hey," Brian answered.

"Hey," came Justin's happy voice.

"Where are you?"

"My studio."

"Really," Brian murmured, wondering if Justin had received his gift.

"I got your package," the blond rushed out.

"Did you?"

"I can't believe you did that. You practically bought out all of Utrecht," Justin remarked in amazement.

"I thought you could use the supplies and I did promise you a bonus for your work on the Grazzini proposal."

"I know but you didn't have to..." Justin protested.

"I wanted to."

"Well, thank you so much. I swear I'm going to have more of the coolest paints than any of my friends this quarter," Justin laughed.

"Good. How were your classes today?"

"Not bad. You're not going to believe this, but one of my assignments for my drawing class is to do a self-portrait."

"So, I guess that should stop any excuses for not doing one," Brian smirked.

"Guess so. How's work going?"

"Busy. The shitty thing about being away for a week is that when you come back you have to clean up all the messes."

"Sounds like fun," Justin remarked sarcastically.

"Yeah, it's precisely how I wanted to spend my first evening back," Brian murmured.

"I take it I won't be seeing you?"

"While I would much rather be fucking that tight little ass of yours, I'm afraid that's correct," Brian sighed.

"That's alright. I can work on my homework assignments. I'll be in the office tomorrow."

"Make sure you stop by my office," Brian instructed.

"Oh I will," Justin promised. "I guess I better let you get back to work. Later, Bri."

"Later, Jus." Smiling, Brian hung up the phone, glad things were going so smoothly.

Tuesday Morning
8:30 a.m.
Vangard

"Hi Justin," Brendan greeted his friend as he entered the art department the following morning.

"Hey Brendan," Justin gave the graphic artist a wide smile.

"How does it feel to be back in school?"

"Not bad. How are things with you?"

"Fairly decent. So, uh, how was your trip?" Brendan asked, curious to hear the latest details regarding his friend's relationship with Kinney.

"Fucking amazing," Justin smiled.

"I thought as much," Brendan gave the blond a knowing smile. "Someone seemed to be in a rather good mood yesterday."

"Really?" Justin raised an eyebrow.

"Yep. I thought perhaps you might have had something to do with it."

"I don't know about that," Justin protested.

"Well, I think you do," Brendan winked. "Just to give you a heads up, your better half is supposed to be in meetings all morning with Liberty Air."

"Thanks," the blond smiled. While he was eager to see his lover, he supposed he would have to wait until they had an opportune moment.

12:30 p.m.
A Conference Room
Vangard

Brian sat at the conference table listening to the senior account manager for Liberty Air ramble on about the airline's latest ad campaign. Glancing at his watch for the tenth time in the past hour Brian wanted nothing more but to see Justin. Just knowing he had been in the office all morning and not being able to see him was driving Brian insane. However, it was important he kept his cool, and appeared as if everything were normal. The last thing the Liberty Air people needed to know was that instead of concentrating on their ads, he was mentally picturing all the ways he planned on taking Justin in his office later that afternoon.

Several minutes later, the account manager had finally finished his presentation, and Brian had addressed the relevant issues in addition to answering questions from Liberty Air's team.

"I believe that concludes our business this morning, gentlemen," Brian began to wrap up the meeting. "I'm afraid I have another engagement this afternoon, however, Gabe Peters, my senior account manager, will be taking you to our club for lunch."

"Sounds great, Brian. I'm sorry you're unable to join us," Scott Matthews, Vice President of Liberty Air, remarked.

"So am I. However, we're still on for dinner later this week," Brian indicated.

"Absolutely," Matthews smiled, before shaking Brian's hand.

***

A few minutes later, Brian was hurrying back toward his office, eager to see his lover.

"What's the rush?" Cynthia asked, surprised to see Brian rushing toward his office.

"I thought that damn meeting would never end," Brian muttered.

"Aren't you supposed to be taking Scott Matthews to lunch at the club?"

"There's been a change of plans," Brian announced. "Order my usual from Nathan's Deli and throw in a turkey sandwich with extra mayo."

"Extra mayo?" Cynthia repeated in shock.

"Oh, and while you're at it, call Justin and tell him to get his ass in here immediately," Brian ordered before turning toward his office.

"Yes, Sir," Cynthia grinned, stunned by her boss' change in behavior and thrilled to see that he was acting almost as if he were a man in love. However, this was Brian Kinney after all, so instead of a man in love, she supposed she would have to call him a man in serious lust.

12:45 p.m.
The Art Department

Justin was sitting at his desk reviewing a layout he had drawn. While he was hungry, he had held off going to lunch with Brendan in the hopes that he could meet up with Brian. Unfortunately, it looked as if his lover was still tied up in meetings. The blond's thoughts were interrupted as his phone rang.

"Justin Taylor," he answered.

"Justin, it's Cynthia. How are you?"

"Good and you?"

"Not bad, although I think I'm going to be in serious trouble if you're busy," Brian's assistant laughed.

"Luckily I'm not."

"Fabulous. Brian has requested you to get your ass to his office now."

"Oh, really?" Justin immediately broke out into a large sunshine smile at his lover's antics.

"Really. I would suggest making it quick. You know he can be very impatient," Cynthia remarked in a knowing voice.

"We can't have that, now can we," Justin laughed. "I'm on my way."

"Oh and Justin?"

"Yes?"

"I've ordered lunch for you."

"Thanks, Cyn. You're the best," Justin said before hanging up his phone and hurrying out of the art department.

***

Justin entered Brian's office a few minutes later, barely making it through the door before he was hauled into his lover's arms and greeted with a passionate kiss.

"That was some welcome," Justin smiled after Brian had released his lips.

"It was, wasn't it," Brian remarked as he stepped out of Justin's arms to walk over to the door. He quickly locked it, ensuring there would be no untimely interruptions. He had also instructed Cynthia to hold all of his calls for the next hour.

"How were your meetings this morning?" Justin asked, as Brian made his way back to him.

"The usual," Brian shrugged. "To be honest, I had more important things on my mind."

"More important things?" Justin repeated, as Brian began leading him toward the couch.

"That's right, Sunshine," Brian drawled as he gave his lover a heated look. "Things of the utmost importance. Things like this," he breathed before gently pushing Justin onto the couch.

"Really?" Justin whispered as Brian suddenly laid down on top of him.

"Really," Brian smirked with a twinkle in his eyes before lowering his lips to capture his blond's in a kiss filled with desire and passion.

***

"I love this suit," Justin sighed several minutes later as he began working on the buttons of Brian's red Armani silk shirt.

"I know," Brian grinned, helping his lover by shrugging out of his shirt.

"And I love your chest," the blond added, caressing Brian's sleek muscles with his hand before leaning forward to place butterfly kisses across his smooth flesh.

"Someone's horny," Brian observed as Justin worked his way toward his nipples, teasing and suckling them.

"Always," Justin moaned, as Brian threaded his hands through his hair and began caressing its silky texture.

***

"You don't know how many times I've fantasized about you doing this," Brian groaned as Justin slowly unbuckled his belt and eased the zipper down.

"Well I'm about to make all of your fantasies come true," Justin declared, pulling Brian's pants aside and bending down to worship his lover's cock.

"That feels so fucking good," Brian purred as Justin began his assault on his shaft, expertly licking and swirling his tongue, teasing all the right places.

"It does, doesn't it?" the blond smiled as his warm lips engulfed the full length of Brian's manhood.

"Ahh!" Brian cried out as Justin ran his tongue up and down the sides of his cock flicking his tongue across the tip, fiercely sucking as he lapped up the precum.

"You like that, don't you?" Justin asked knowingly as he continued to worship his lover's shaft.

"Yes!" Brian called out, as he felt the blood pumping through his veins; his body arching off the couch as he drifted closer to his release. He entwined his fingers in Justin's blond silky hair; needing to feel connected to his lover as he neared his orgasm.

"Come for me, baby," Justin breathed in between caresses.

"OHHH!!" Brian screamed as Justin deftly brought him to his climax, his entire body shuddering as he gave in to the ecstasy. Immediately, he felt himself drowning in a sea of incredible sensation as he rode the waves of his shattering climax.

***

"Spent?" Justin inquired, minutes later.

"Nah," Brian smiled, as he laid back on the couch with Justin in his arms. "Although this was pretty fucking hot."

"I thought you would like it," the blond gave a satisfied smile.

"I more than liked it. Christ, you've learned your lessons well."

"Well, I did learn from the master," Justin gave Brian a knowing smile.

"That you did," Brian concurred before pulling Justin close for an appreciative kiss, thrilled that he was able to share in some afternoon fun with his lover.

6:00 p.m.
Justin & Daphne's Apartment

Since Justin had class that evening and wouldn't be stopping by the loft until later, Brian decided it was the perfect opportunity to pay Daphne a visit. Before he went about his plan to get Justin to move back home, he first wanted to make sure with Justin's friend that he wasn't putting a wrench in her plans.

"Hi Brian." Daphne opened the door, surprised to find the ad executive standing there.

"Hey, Daph."

"It's uh good to see you, but uh, Justin's at class."

"I know. Actually it's you I wanted to see," Brian stated.

"Oh," Daphne looked up in surprise. "By all means come in," she invited.

"Thanks," Brian said, following her into the apartment.

"Can I get you anything to drink?"

"No, I'm fine, thanks."

"What did you want to see me about?" Daphne asked, as she took a seat on the couch.

"I wanted to talk to you about Justin," Brian began.

"Justin? Alright. Uh, what did you want to discuss?" Daphne inquired, stunned that Brian had dropped by of his own accord to discuss her best friend.

"I want him to come home." Brian felt it best to just state his intentions instead of beating around the bush.

"H-home?" Daphne was taken aback by his statement.

"The loft," Brian clarified.

"Oh," Daphne murmured. "Why are you telling me this?"

"Well, I assume you have a lease on this place. I would hate for you to be left in a lurch."

"Actually, I have a confession to make," Daphne began, turning slightly red. "I was kind of hoping Justin would move back in with you. It's not that I uh, don't want to continue living with him, it's just that I would sort of like to try living with my boyfriend."

"Daphne, I'm impressed," Brian grinned.

"Anyway, if Justin would like to come live with you again, he wouldn't be leaving me in a lurch so to speak."

"It doesn't sound like it," Brian agreed.

"So, uh, when do you plan on asking him?" Daphne asked curiously.

"Soon. I haven't quite decided on all the particulars yet."

"You do realize that you might want to show some, uh, sensitivity this time when you broach the subject," Daphne advised.

"I'm aware of the fact that it would be in my best interests not to make the mistakes that I made the last time."

"Good. I'm happy for both you and Justin," Daphne gave Brian a genuine smile.

"Can I count on you to keep this little conversation a secret?" Brian questioned, wanting to ensure that Justin was surprised by his intentions.

"Absolutely," Daphne replied, delighted to hear that Brian had finally gotten his act together, at least where her best friend was concerned, and eager to see them living happily together again.

Wednesday, September 25th
2:30 p.m.
Brian's Office
Vangard

Brian was having a meeting with his Liberty Air team in his office when Cynthia burst in.

"Excuse me, gentlemen," Brian stepped aside and turned towards his assistant, curious as to what she wanted.

"Italo Grazzini is on the phone for you," Cynthia whispered into his ear.

"Okay," Brian murmured, as his heart began to pound at the thought that this could be the call he had been waiting for.

He headed back to the staff gathered in his office, "I'm afraid something's come up and I need to take this call," he stated. "Why don't we plan on reconvening in about an hour?"

***

Brian waited until his office was empty, took a deep breath, and then picked up his call.

"Signor Grazzini," Brian said in greeting.

"Brian, I'm so glad I was able to reach you. How are you?"

"Wonderful, Italo."

"Good. I take it Justino is well also?"

"Yes. In fact, he just started classes the other day at the institute."

"Molto bene!" Grazzini said warmly. "Did you and Justino enjoy your weekend in my city?" he asked.

"We had a good time," Brian replied politely, having been schooled by Justin that Italians liked to make conversation before conducting any business.

"Was Justino able to get to the Art Institute?"

"We went Friday afternoon, actually. He loved it. I also took him to Spiaggia for dinner on Saturday night."

"I'm sure Justino enjoyed the cuisine there. Stefano mentioned seeing you at Berlin that night. However, he didn't feel like interrupting your evening together."

"I see," Brian remarked with a wicked grin. He could only imagine what the over-sexed designer had thought of their steamy dance.

"I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend in Chicago, Brian. Hopefully you and Justino will be able to visit my offices in Firenze soon," Grazzini remarked.

"Florence?" Brian raised an eyebrow.

"As my advertising team, I'm sure you'll want to become very familiar with every aspect of my business," Italo elaborated.

"Absolutely," Brian agreed, breaking out into a wide smile.

"Congratulations, Brian. I have to admit I was extremely impressed with your proposal, and my staff agrees it would be a wise move to retain your services. I'm prepared to sign a three year contract if that's amenable to you."

"It's more than amenable. It's going to be a pleasure doing business with you, Italo."

"Si. My legal department will be in touch shortly to go over the specifics."

"Perfect," Brian smiled, tasting success.

"I'll be in touch, Brian," Grazzini promised before ending the call.

Brian knew their chances with Grazzini's had been good, but to actually hear that they had landed the account was a feeling unlike any other he had ever experienced and there was only one person he wanted to share the news with. Grazzini's was one of biggest jewels in the advertising market and he and Justin had achieved success. Few could ever have accomplished this.

In addition to the prestige and success of landing Grazzini's, Brian was now one step closer to putting Vance out of business. Just six months ago, he would have never even considered the option of striking out on his own, however, now he knew that it was what he had desired all along. He would be his own boss, and he would take Vangard straight to the top with Justin by his side the entire way. He couldn't wait to tell his lover the good news.

8:00 p.m.
The Loft

"Brian!" Justin called as he entered the loft. The ad executive had called him earlier and had asked him to stop by that night.

"Over here," Brian called from the dining room area.

"What are you doing?" Justin asked in surprise, as he noticed his lover holding a bottle of champagne.

"What does it look like I'm doing?"

"Since when do you drink champagne?" the blond questioned, as Brian began pouring the bubbling liquid into two flutes.

"Since we just happen to be celebrating our new client," Brian announced, as Justin's mouth dropped opened in shock.

"New client?" he repeated, completely stunned by his lover's announcement. "Does this mean we landed Grazzini's?"

"Si, Justino."

"Holy shit!" Justin screamed before running up to his lover and jumping into his arms, almost making Brian drop the bottle of champagne. "I can't believe we did it!"

"We did it alright, Sunshine," Brian smirked at his blond lover's exuberance. "We fucking did it," he declared before taking Justin's lips in a passionate kiss.

***

"You like champagne, don't you Sunshine?" Brian grinned, as he eyed his lover lying naked against the pillows of the bed sipping the effervescent liquid.

"Yes!" Justin said huskily, as Brian tilted the champagne bottle slowly, releasing the cold amber, bubbling liquid onto his lover's smooth pale chest eliciting a gasp and a giggle.

"Umm," Brian breathed, setting the bottle along with Justin's flute aside, as he leaned in and sensually snaked his tongue licking the blond's champagne-soaked chest.

"Ahh!" Justin groaned, as Brian licked and sucked the hollow of his neck, slowly trailing moist kisses down to his nipples. He nipped and swirled his tongue around the hardened peaks, tugging on his lover's nipple ring, causing Justin to moan in response.

As Brian continued his assault on Justin's sensitive, glistening flesh, he lapped up the champagne. Pausing at his navel, he inserted his tongue, drawing out the remaining liquid.

"Brian!" Justin panted as Brian's tongue slowly made its way to his engorged cock.

"Someone wants something," Brian smiled knowingly, as he reached his lover's hardened shaft, and wrapped it in the silkiness of his mouth.

***

Later, Justin was catching his breath after reaching an intense climax; Brian always knew exactly what it took to make him succumb quickly. He loved the feeling that permeated his body every time the older man slid his tongue across the tip of his cock, caressing his length with his velvety mouth and sending him over the edge within minutes.

Ready to continue his seduction, Brian whispered into Justin's ear, "Roll over."

"Bri...?" Justin questioned.

"Shhh," Brian put his finger up against the blond's lips. "Trust me," he said, giving a wicked grin.

"Does this also involve champagne?" the blond raised a suspicious eyebrow.

"What do you think, Sunshine?"

"I guess I'll just have to roll over to find out," Justin giggled as he turned over onto his stomach.

***

"Brian!" Justin cried out in surprise as he felt his lover pour the cool liquid onto his back.

"Just relax, baby," Brian said soothingly as he leaned over his sleek torso.

"Ooooh!!" the blond moaned as he felt Brian's warm lips begin at the moist liquid on his back.

"You like that?" Brian purred in between licks.

"Yes!" Justin whimpered, as Brian slowly worked his way toward the small of his back.

"I knew you would," Brian whispered seductively, as he reached for the champagne bottle again.

"Fuck!!!" Justin screamed as he felt Brian pour more of the bubbling liquid onto his bottom.

"Patience, Sunshine" Brian promised. "But first, I want to feast on your luscious bottom," he declared, as his mouth traced the trail of champagne, and his tongue slowly worked its way between his crease, drawing circles and letting his warm breath tease Justin's aching tunnel.

"Oh God!!!" Justin cried, writhing on the bed as Brian lapped at the champagne that had settled near his hole.

"You taste delicious," Brian purred as his tongue continued licking his lover's heated flesh.

"Fuck me," the blond begged, desperately needing to feel his lover's hard cock inside of him.

"You want me to make you feel good baby?" Brian asked, reaching for a condom and lube.

"Yes!" Justin panted as he felt Brian slip one lubed finger into his hole and then another.

"You're so fucking hot," Brian whispered, as he felt Justin clench his fingers. "I'm going to make love to you, Sunshine," he promised, releasing his fingers and entering his lover with a hard thrust.

"Brian," Justin moaned, as he felt his lover enter him, savoring the sensation of his hardened flesh.

"That's it baby," Brian purred as Justin welcomed his flesh knowing that this was the only person in the world who could make him feel this way. The only person in the world he would ever want to celebrate his successes with, because when it came down to it, Justin was the only one who truly mattered.

7:30 a.m.
Thursday Morning

Justin slowly opened his eyes as the first rays of the morning sun streamed through the windows of the loft. Sitting up and rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he turned to see Brian walking out of the bathroom already dressed for work in one of his new Armani suits.

"Awake already, Sunshine?" Brian greeted the blond. "After the night we had I'm surprised."

"It was some night, wasn't it?" Justin sighed as he thought back to their passion-filled champagne celebration.

"I'm afraid I have to leave for the office in a bit, but first I wanted to talk to you," Brian said, sitting on the bed.

"What's up?" Justin asked in an uneasy voice. He was still not used to the concept of Brian wanting to communicate openly with him.

"I want you to give Nick Stanton your notice today," Brian instructed.

"My notice?"

"It's time you quit Vangard."

"But why?"

"Now that we've landed Grazzini's, it's time that I conclude my business with Vance. But before I do, I need to know that you're safe and out of his way," Brian elaborated. "You've had too successful of an internship to let it be soiled by Vance's dirty games. I would hate to see anything happen that would discredit your accomplishment."

"You have a point, and I suppose it's for the best, but what about Grazzini's? I thought I was going to continue helping you with it."

"You are, but in a different capacity."

"Like a consultant or something similar?" Justin asked.

"Something like that," Brian nodded, not willing to reveal any additional details.

"Just what exactly are you planning when it comes to Vance?" Justin inquired. "You are still going to take him over, aren't you?"

"That's the plan. However, I'd prefer not to go into all the details yet," Brian frowned. "But I want you to trust that I know what I'm doing."

"I do, I just wish...," the blond began to protest.

"Soon, Sunshine. I promise," Brian whispered before turning to give his lover a reassuring kiss. While he really wanted to share his plans with Justin, he first needed to get everything into place. He refused to put Justin in a position of being severely disappointed should his plans fail. Once everything was in place, he would gladly share his future business plans with his lover.

Noon
Nick Stanton's Office
Vangard

"I'm sorry to see you go, Justin," Nick said, as the young intern sat in his office. He had been stunned when human resources had informed him that Justin had handed in his resignation earlier that morning.

"I just don't think it's going to work out with my class schedule," Justin lied, trying to sound convincing. "My courses are far more work than I had anticipated."

"That's too bad. However, I know how demanding PIFA can be, and it's best to focus on your studies. Perhaps next summer you could do another internship with us. We would be more than happy to have you back," Nick indicated.

"Thank you. I just might take you up on your offer," Justin smiled.

"Have you thought about when you would like your last day to be?"

"I thought I should at least give two weeks' notice," the blond replied.

"Normally I would agree, but the last thing we want is for you to fall behind in your classes. Do you think you could have all of your work wrapped up by next Tuesday? Aren't you just about finished with the layouts you were working on for me?"

"Almost. Next Tuesday would be great," Justin agreed, knowing full well the sooner he left Vangard the sooner Brian could go after Vance.

"Good, then it's settled. Now remember, if you ever want to come back and do another internship, all you have to do is ask."

"I know and I appreciate it," Justin nodded. He was forced to admit, he would greatly miss the work, but right now Brian's needs were more important to him than his work. He would still be able to help his lover with Grazzini's.

2:00 p.m.
Gardner Vance's Office

Vance was sitting at his desk reviewing the agency's latest financial statements when Stanton entered his office.

"Nick," Vance greeted the senior account manager.

"I'm afraid I have some unfortunate news, Gardner," Nick began.

"Unfortunate news? Sit down and let's have it."

"Alright," Stanton agreed, pulling out a chair.

"What seems to be the problem?"

"Justin Taylor resigned this morning."

"He what?" Vance was surprised by the turn of events.

"I'm afraid he did, Gardner. Normally, I wouldn't trouble you with such matters, but I know you felt he was an asset to the firm, and I just can't shake the feeling that something doesn't seem right about his sudden departure."

"You're damn right it doesn't," Vance agreed. "I thought he was planning to stay on with us."

"So did I. Apparently he's realized his class load will be too much this quarter to continue."

"I can't believe this," Vance shook his head in disbelief.

"I told him that he could come back any time."

"I don't care that he can come back any time. I need him working here now!"

"Gardner, I know he's good, but really..." Nick began to protest, surprised by his boss' reaction.

"Nick, you don't understand, he's my only hope of destroying Kinney," Vance interrupted in an irritated voice.

"Destroying Kinney?"

"That's right. You don't honestly think I would select someone so obviously young to do an internship here, do you?"

"But I thought since Justin is so talented that..."

"That I hired him because of it? I can assure you, Nick, that had little to do with my decision. The real reason behind my decision lies here," Vance said, reaching into his desk and presenting Stanton with a file.

***

"Justin was Kinney's lover for almost two years?" Nick was stunned by what he had read in the file.

"Surprised?"

"You can say that again, but it definitely explains why Kinney has had such a problem with him."

"Definitely," Vance agreed. "There's nothing like a scorned lover."

"So, how exactly were you planning on using Justin to get to Kinney?"

"Naturally I knew Justin's presence alone would irritate the hell out of him. I thought perhaps he would give me just cause to eliminate him with his ex working here. Unfortunately, Brian hasn't reacted as severely as I had anticipated. With Justin's decision to stay on with us, I was planning on forcing Kinney and Justin to work together. With Kinney's past record, I imagined he would easily fall for the bait, and I would be able to quickly fire him for sexual harassment."

"Being the sexual predator he is, your plan had merit," Nick offered.

"Yes it did," Vance concurred. "Not only could I get rid of the bastard, I could also ensure his reputation with his clients would quickly go up in flames."

"Allowing you complete control of the agency."

"Exactly," Vance gave a sinister smile. "As I mentioned in a previous conversation, once Kinney leaves, I'll be in need of a new partner."

"I seem to recall you mentioning that," Stanton cocked an eyebrow, indicating he knew precisely what Vance was getting at.

"Now you know why it's imperative we do everything in our power to keep Justin on board."

"Absolutely," Nick smiled, already imagining what it would be like to be partner. He was prepared to do whatever necessary to see that this happened.
