it takes her a moment, but Yuri soon realizes that whatever is going on ahead of her, it isn't good. the blood-- easy to spot; deep red upon dulled, grey pavement was hard to miss-- was a good indicator of as much.
Yuri pauses in her tracks, makeshift weapon held out in front of her. her spider senses are definitely tingling.]

One of the bigger guys slowly turns its head. His face, previously lapping up the spill, splits with a sinister grin. It's chest heaves with a deep breath, interrupting with a ragged cough, spitting up who knows what across the pavement.
