Great link! I think the author hit on something more specific than non-white heroes, though, which is that Asian heroes and heroines are particularly overlooked.

I sometimes think Asians are the forgotten minority, especially in movies and television. The premier of the new Hawaii 5 0 sent me on a serious rant about it-- a TV show set in Hawaii, with Daniel Dae Kim, and he is not the lead actor. I don't care what the previous version of the show was about-- it's a new century, with new possibilities.

So how did that show wind up being about two white men yet again? :(
