newspaper_rock discusses a book called The Indians Won, a novel written in 1970 by Martin Cruz Smith (who was apparently part Pueblo?). The basic premise is that after Custer's defeat,

I think this tickles me because I'm at the Red Earth festival all this week.

And even if the book has its flaws, one greatly positive thing I feel--is that it's a nice alternative to 80 or 90 percent of what makes up much of alternative history literature. Though I'm green eyed as to why Plain folk always get the love. >.>
