My absolute loathing of Calista Flockhart has kept RDJ's season of Ally McBeal at the very bottom of my list of RDJ works to watch. Everything I've seen of Larry really makes me want to watch it, I just can't get past her. *sigh* I'll get to it. Eventually. Really.
Lol, he's here for a whole season, and SPOILER ALERT, when Ally Leaves at the end of season 5, she decides to go back to him because he's the one man she shoul d never have pushed away... She gets hallucinations during season 5 of him and I thought I did too, because he would appear on her couch and disappear right away...
It was the best Ally McBeal season (the 4the one) IMO, because Larry was perfect and Ally was finally having grown-up problems.. But it was worth it! If RDJ hadn't had to go to jail at the end of the season, David E. Kelley had decided that he wanted Ally and Larry to get married... My head is full of this AU where they got married instead of breaking up...
Enough rambling, I'm glad you liked it! (And maybe you should see just episode 4x01, lots of RDJ being quirky with glasses!)
Yep, he's here in most episodes episodes of season 4, except for 2 I think, 4x03 and the very last one because he Ally broke up and he went away
( ... )
I kept on squeeing when I was selecting my caps, it was pretty pathetic (and the dog kept thinking I was in pain, poor doggie)...
Ally and Larry were one of the most epic love story on television, ever! I can't help but wonder where they would have gone if RDJ didn't have to go to jail at the end of season 4... Then again RDJ rose like a phoenix after this stop in his career, so... Lol, great minds totally think alike! I will need to check your picspam!
And you're very welcome! I try to always gve credit where credit is due, 'cause it's how I would want to be treated if I did any of this!
Oh, I hear ya. When I first watched the season (marathoned it after buying the box set), I had such a massive crush on his character. He is like my ideal boyfriend. I did a picspam back when about how awesome Larry is.
I find it kinda funny that David E. Kelley would have kept him on the show but the studio didn't want a "druggie" on one of their primetime shows. And honestly... if I were the awesome and hot and adorable etc while being high on smack... let's have it :P
But yeah.. in retrospect, it might have been the best thing that ever happened to him. Apart of meeting Susan... *sighs*
