I love River ♥ and I think I was one of the few who did from the beginning. Probably had a lot to do with it being Alex Kingston and when I see actors from shows I love I like their characters more easily. And she was ~mysterious~which is always fun.
I loved Alex Kingston in ER ♥ I agree with what you say on how liking an actor helps you like a character! It's very true :) She's really fascinating, all the mysterious characters are, she's quickly become one of my favorite character this series :) I can't wait for series 6!
Weird thing is that I didn't really like Corday. Yet since she was an ER regular I totall squeed when I saw her in Who. And I totally agree, she's becoming so awesome.
