So I need to find in Philadelphia, or close by, a pair of thigh high red boots that are not terribly expensive or have a massive stripper heel.

I've checked Ezone & Lady Love & Passional around South St. I found a few pairs, but they all have the massive stripper heel (well like platform 5" heels) which I will not be able to walk around for a few

I bet if you could find the red leather/vinyl material and have a pair of old boots, you could make them yourself with some hot glue. You might need a garter belt to hold them up though... that too could be hot! Good luck!

Yeah I'm thinking of doing that since all the ones I find around here scream stripper :P Going to check some fabric stores for vinyl - probably upholstry fabric will hold well. I still will have to buy boots since when I moved to Chinatown, I threw out all my old shoes :/

I'm going to Otakon next weekend (anime convention in Baltimore) and I'm dressing up as Casey Lynch from Guitar Hero and my brother's wife is dressing up as Midori from Guitar Hero so we'll kinda match :) I have the corset already and got leggings that look like leather, all the acessories will be easy to make in a day, just need to figure out the boots...
