Because I have no idea what the fuck is going on with LJ these days, this journal is friends only until further notice.
Update I have unlocked this journal. However, I've locked my NC-17 fics and will do so with all 'adults only' material in the future. I've added a note to my fic list to expand upon that.

I recced two of your fics in my insanejournal today and because I don't link to flocked posts I changed the links to your fiction at prisonbreakfic.net so it's all good.
Thanks for making this post. ;)

My concern isn't that my fiction is illegal; it's that LJ is a private business that can do whatever it wants. According to their Terms of Service, they can suspend my paid journal at their own discretion at any time without refunding my payment. So, if they decided to go on another suspension rampage, I could theoretically lose my journal without warning just because.
I really, really don't want to flock it, and I honestly believe that nothing I've written would fail the Miller Test, but since I have no recourse should my LJ be suspended, I just don't know what to do. :(

Really? Woo-hoo! I don't think I've ever been recced before. Thank you so much!

The only advice I can give you is to stop paying for LJ services. They clearly don't want a certain group of consumers (and I find that as unsettling as you). Have you voiced your concern at lj_biz? They should at least know that they piss of a lot of people.
Reading your fiction is a pleasure, so thank you!

For the moment, LJ's got my money clear through to March 2008. At that point, we'll see.
I have actually commented at lj_biz on this most recent bit and during the last spate of it.

I have no desire to exclude underage readers, but with the recent controversies over LJ's policies regarding content, I have committed to doing what I can to prevent NC-17 rated material from being read by people under the age of 18. Those are American standards and 6A is in the US, so I'm subject to their rules.
I have no desire to have my LJ suspended, especially since it is a paid account, so I am refraining from friending underage people until the policy has been cleared up.
You are welcome to read my non-locked fic and entries if you like, and of course, if you don't wish to have friends who haven't friended you back, feel free to unfriend me.
I'm glad to hear that you love Prison Break, though. It's great to see that its audience transcends age and nationality, and truly has a global appeal. :D
Take care.
