But yes, I actually love angst in general. I think my problem with this episode is that there was so much angst without a light at the end of the tunnel. I was with it, loving the hurt, until Sam couldn't find it in him to swear up and down that leaving Dean wasn't his heaven and he didn't know WTF was up with this screwy 'Heaven', and then again when Dean tossed the amulet.

I just thought those two scenes went overboard, and destroyed the possibility of an eventual happy ending, or redemption, or whatever. I cry.

And yes! I have been hiding from the entire world, including the internets, but I really do want to be here more. I'm sure I have tons to catch up with. I just hope that the flisties don't think I've stropped loving them. Double d'oh.

Was that a rhetoric question? If not, it's because the stupid writers are all like, Sam had his head up his ass in season 4 thinking he's doing the right thing, so now Dean has his head up his ass thinking he's doing the right thing, and that's ~balancing shit out~. Instead of giving us boys mending their relationship, they're giving Sam!girls a chance to be ~in the right~ for once. And man, I'm a Sam!girl, but fuck that.

I think, possibly, unfortunately, there'll be some more fucking with characterisation to allow the writers to get where they need to go. *eyeroll*
