I feel awful. I forgot to go to my Dad's exhibition opening.

It was last night. This morning I spent an hour calling up friends and inviting them to come along, because I tought that today was Friday for some reason, and then I got a call from Dad who asked where i was last night. He wasn't angry, but I suspect that he was hurt.

So then I called

I missed my dad's opening once, too. Well, more like more than fashionably late. dad just gave me a big, goofy grin and a hug when he saw mum and i come in. i made him lots of cups of tea and he had breakfast in bed that next weekend...and a few parcels of turkish delight.
It feels worse when people are hurt than when they're angry...it's like you can have a shouting match and dismiss all your guilt by saying "he started it" or "he overreacted", and burn off the steam while you're shouting.
But guilt...you have to think it over, and things seem a thousand times worse than they really are.
talking about fathers...i'm at dad's house this weekend...mouldy garlic here i am!

Parcels are god =D it's just like getting a letter- thick pape and wax seals and caligraphy...

My dad doesn't have an exhibition soon =(
the one i described was his Baba Kandi exhibition...i was about 7!
He just had one...well, a couple of months ago. the cicely and colin rigg whoosy- did you hear about that? except it was a competition...still an exhibition, though.

Ah, yes. This is Dad's first one in 12 years. I know the life of an artist! :/ But you should come along and have a look at it. Perhaps next Saturday, after choir? If I'm still grounded, it's the only viable time. :/ I think I'll drag Muz along. :)

No, I did not hear about it. But does he have a website (ha. ha. we've been asking Dad to get one, he has to sell pictures SOMEHOW. I had a discussion with Julian - my stepdad - in the car, about commercialness. It ... made me think. I think I'll post about it later.)
