Well that didn't go the way any of us were expecting, even the GM. I failed my heal check on Eli, a major NPC and Emma (Nuance's character)'s love interest. He was doing the awesome death bed proposal thing, but everything was going to be ok because I was going to channel God's will and heal him. Except the dice, they do not think so. So he's dying for reals, and the devil taunts me, and offers Em the chance to save him, so of course she accepts. And then we proceeded to have one of the best straight up roleplaying sessions of my life.
I'm so emotional raw and drained right now. Totally awesome.
Rest in peace Eli, you were a good man who deserved better (even though you're fictional).
