I tend to think poorly of any fandom I belong to that does NOT have a brilliant, horrifically plausible Lonely Island fanvid. In fact, I was telling a friend recently that Lonely Island songs and Lady Gaga songs are almost like vidding memes... certainly more fun than Nickelback, ugh.

ANYWAY. This cheered me up after a dreadful day, thank you. I must say that I'm especially fond of Sherlock's :O moment from the gallery countdown scene in ep 3 - not only does it show off his gorgeous weird face, HIS MOUTH FORMS A LITTLE HEART SHAPE. fklldlgshl;;;.

Ahem.

Would you recommend Videopad to a vidding newbie whose hardware is, shall we say, not very healthy?

Sherlock's face is just amazing there, so strangely cute yet disturbing! I had no idea the human mouth was capable of looking like <3

Mmmm, my comp is 2.4GHz Quad Core, 2GB RAM on WinXP. Videopad crashes/lags severely about once every 2 hours or so. It does autosave though, and I never lost any work. It's free (for 2 weeks. I don't know what happens after that. Something about it reducing export options) and I've read it's more stable than Windows Movie Maker. Learning curve was about 15min for me. I used VirtualDub to cut the original clips. Hope this helps!

Uh, I seriously just watched this vid three times in a row. IT IS AMAZING. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS YOUR FIRST VID. Ahhhhhh. Everything! So perfect!

Moments I particularly loved:
rosining the bow on "the way you bag cans"
the shadowy hand of the Golem for "as I recall it was a horror film"
John's face by the fire in TBB (I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UNSEE THE O FACE)
You also did a really good job of using clips with people speaking in such a way that the unheard audio didn't seem at odds with the lyrics.

It is indeed a tragedy that Moriarty's O face could not be employed, but this vid is so fucking awesome it does not even need it.

BRB will be reccing this everywhere known to man.
