Oh noes, Dinosaurs!

The building had once been state of the art, with everything from a fully functional security system and a big rotating tour room and genetics labs and even a giant t-rex skeleton in the lobby. But now it was rather...worn. Chunks of the walls and ceiling were missing, doors off its hinges, that sort of thing. It had seen better days.

It was also ( Read more... )

Zuko wasn't very happy. His head was throbbing, and he had no idea where he was. Getting to his feet, brushing the dust off his clothing, the Prince scowled at his wrecked surroundings. Had they been found? Attacked? Wracking his memory did nothing, and there was no way he could have slept through whatever happened to this place.

Come to think of it...where was this place?

He jumped at the sound of a voice, turning toward it tensely, one arm lifted while the other aimed down, balancing on the balls of his feet. "Who's there?" Oh, yeah, probably the orange girl...why was she orange?

Starfire twisted around again and floated a bit further off the ground, uncertain what to do in the face of so many strangers. Although even Azula being there was not a comfort, since the other royal was not exactly...well...friendly.

"We all were waking up here!" She blurted out, frowning. "I do not know where here is, though..."

That was a man he recognized, for better or worse.

"Doctor." Harvey threw him a glance before looking at the flying girl. "He's right, I had nothing to do with this. It's probably just another damned virus."

But the other girl looked familiar- "You're that Fire Nation girl." Harvey said after a moment's pause.

I'm Fire Lord Azula, yes. And you are?

"A virus, you say." Hannibal commented, looking from Harvey to the floating girl before him.

"I hadn't expected the first virus to take me from home. Still this -" he looked around him, "Hold a rather dark complexion, don't you think?"

"Uhm," Starfire held out a hand, almost as if she were asking permission to speak. "Viruses are tiny things that make you ill. This is a large ruined building with giant trees outside..."

Azula- that was it. "Harvey Dent." He answered, warding off a headache. This was too much like that damned Oregon ordeal for his tastes.

"They rarely end well." He answered Hannibal, eyes turning to Starfire- a new arrival, that would be problematic. Certainly was a way to be introduced to this madness.

"The community has it's own kind of viruses." He explained in a tried tone. "This happened before, only the place we were thrown was more rustic than horror movie."

"The viruses provided by the community appear to be different, my dear." Hannibal assured her gently, turning to face her.

"I am not an idiot!" Her voice flared as she said this, whirling towards Azula...but the other two speaking seemed to jar her from her sudden anger, and she sucked in a breath to control herself.

"Oh. So...having been brought here is the...'virus'." She said as she turned back to Harvey and Hannibal, although she probably didn't understand it quite that easily. She was just good at context clues. "But we do not know where 'here' is..." She added, and then looked startled.

"Oh! I am Starfire. I do not think I have been meeting you yet..."

"I am Doctor Hannibal Lecter, Starfire. It is a pleasure to meet you?" he replied, nodding his head gently.

He examined the rest of the group, taking a moment before looking back to Starfire. He gave a simple shrug.

"Well..." he began with a confident sigh, "We might as well take a look around, no? Nothing is done standing still."

"It is nice to meet you too, Doctor Hannibal Lecter," Starfire said with a smile. And she did mean it! She's never seen Silence of the Lambs, after all.

"I looked out the window but there is not really anything except a road and big trees..."

"Uh."

Zuko? Confused as hell. And not about to admit that. What he did do is stare at the growing group, watching as people woke. Mostly, he kept his silence, teeth pressed tight together. His sister was here, which could mean nothing good. This orange girl-person was frankly unnerving him. How was she flying? The old guy seemed fine - though Azula's wariness of him was weird - and the other looked...burned. Zuko found himself staring from under his bangs, arms crossed.

But there's only so much a prince/former-prince can take. "What kind of virus moves us all around like this?"

Technically, Starfire was floating at the moment, just sort of bobbing in place in the air a couple feet off the ground. It helped her steady her nerves, honestly. Flying was second nature, after all.

"I do not know?" She admitted when the quiet boy spoke up, offering him a little wave of hello. "Do you perhaps know where it has been putting us?"
