Chapter 2: Blood within the shoe / Du sang dans la chaussure
How stupid, stupid, stupid! Tim hated people acting stupid. Did he go and try to kill Batman? No. He merely got a show at the unworthy brat. Which totally was his prerogative.
Did he go and try to kill or even just hurt civilians? No, again. Well, mostly not civilians. Well, not Jason, anyway. Because Jason didn’t qualify as a Bat anymore, did he? Did he? And a consequence, Tim didn’t try to kill him.
But Jason had to intervene in a perfectly private matter. Lex Luthor was a supervillain. He had nothing to do in Tim’s city. In the Joker’s city. The Joker could tolerate small fish such as Ivy or Penguin, but Luthor was Superman’s Nemesis and Tim didn’t want Superman in town. (Nor Jason, really - it would be much better if Jason stayed away.)
Jason should have stayed out. Of. This.
