Can I help? [Connor asks, coming in quietly at the kitchen door, carrying an armful of apples.]

You don't even need to ask. [He grins and leans down, offering Connor a bowl to dump the apples in.] Caramel, cinnamon, or one of each?

[Connor shrugs and puts the apples down, looking shy.] You've been so busy lately. I don't want to be in the way.

Can we do one of each? That way everyone can pick what they like.

You're not in my way. I'm not too busy for you. [He kisses the top of Connor's head.]

Absolutely. Let's make the pie dough first, then peal the apples. The dough needs to chill for a bit before we can bake it. [He begins taking out ingredients from the cupboards, and some shortening he'd put in the freezer in advance.] Pie crust can be tricky, because you can't over mix it or it won't be flaky. [He guides Connor in how to cut the ingredients together with a pastry blender.]

I'll teach you. [He grins brightly.] First step, what kind of pie do you want to eat?

"Are you sure you want to give me such an open choice?" He laughs wrapping his arms around Tim.

Hmm... Mmhm! [He laughs and snuggles into Dick's arms.] I have so many types to choose from right now. Tamas has granted us a plentiful harvest.
