...Does any of the equipment on this farm actually work?
[Jason asks the question as he walks up to the garden, wiping his hands on a rag. He's dressed in old jeans and an extremely faded t-shirt that might have been black at one point. His hands and arms are speckled with engine grease, and he has a smear across one cheek.]
Even if you're just keeping it for show, it should work. Otherwise your cover gets blown.
Also, if it works, you've got equipment you can loan to the neighbors if anything of theirs breaks down. [He slings the rag onto one shoulder.] Anyway, your combine is working again. I think I might need a couple replacement parts for the tractor.
I know, I've just never gotten around to fixing it all.
[he stands up, walking over to Jason and kissing the cheek that isn't smudged with grease] Thank you. Make a list of what you need and I'll talk to Clark.
That was the pumpkin patch. I'm just making sure there were no dead vines or anything left behind, then I've gotta work some fertilizer into the soil so we can plant something new.

We don't use most of it, I doubt anything's been looked at since Jonathan died.

[He smiles at the kiss and turns his head to give Kon a kiss on the cheek as well.] All right. Whatcha workin' on out here anyway?

Cool. What are you thinking of planting?

Some garlic, maybe some spinach and lettuce. They're a bit more resistant to the cold.

Sounds good. Need some help? I'll have to wash up a bit first, wouldn't do to get engine grease residue all over.

You've already done a lot, I think can handle this. [he kisses Jason softly on the lips] I'll do it quick, then we can go get cleaned up.

Mm... [he kisses Kon back, smiling against Kon's mouth before pulling back] Oh? What's this "we" stuff?

I figured you might need help getting cleaned up.

Oh. [Jason bites his lip.] Well... I don't think I've ever showered here before. I might need some assistance working the fixtures, certainly...

Who said anything about letting you inside? You're covered in grease. I was planning to hose you down out here. [cheeky grin]
