[ After returning to the building Jay was working on to get the samples, Raptor returns himself and Kon to the hospital -- by Hubspacing into a corridor on the third floor. From there, it's not hard to follow the posted signs to the laboratory. Raptor knocks on the doorframe and peers inside.]

[Max leans out of a doorway, there are sleek looking goggles around her eyes and, difference from earlier, she's wearing a lab coat around her usual clothes.]
[Jason walks into the lab, pulling the labeled evidence bags out of his pockets and setting them on a nearby table -- an empty spot that he hopes you hadn't planned to be taken up by anything else.]
I'm guessing we're trying to see if there are environmental triggers for Jay's migraines? Should we be testing the bar, too?
[When Jay finally finds the right room, he stops outside it, hand on the door, and presses his forehead to it for a long moment, catching his breath, before knocking.]
[The door opens. In the room, the lights are off, though the windows are obviously open as fresh air can be smelt more than the scent of the hospital.
More noticeable though, is the fact that there's a tiny child standing between you and the inside of the room, lookin' up at you suspiciously. You don't look like a doctor, Jay. She looks a little bit tired and on edge, and something about her automatically says "street kid".
Her voice comes out, soft but firm. As if she's daring anyone to contradict her so she can go after their kneecaps.]
He's sleeping.
[And it's gonna stay that way while she can help it. Rest equals better, right?]

[ While Jay and the Younger Jay are talking, Max slips outside and sits against the wall again, taking up her waiting/tiny guard thing position. Only now she looks more tired and more anxious than anything. There's something in her hands and she turns it over and over again, as she fidgets, waiting for as long as she needs to.]

[Jason is quiet but tense as he approaches Jay's room. Seeing Max outside in the hallway, he assumes that the doctor is talking to Jay or conducting tests and he shouldn't go inside. Kon follows behind him, but goes over to Kora's side. Jason leans against the wall, not really wanting to be here anymore, but resigned to the necessity.]
[looks up as Jason and Kon approach, glancing between them both with a frown, she reaches to squeeze Kon's arm slightly and walks over to Jason's side, only really keeping her feet on the ground right now because then she can reach out that much easier with her aura] Hey? [unspoken 'what happened?' it seems like something's managed to add to the situation...]

[We'll say the IV is still in, so Dr. Hill hasn't come back to talk about discharging him yet. After going back to the penthouse with Kora, Jason made a quick stop back home and grabbed Dick. Dick has been waiting to speak to Jay since then. Hospital chairs are very uncomfortable.]

[Jay hates waking up in the hospital. Hates it. There's bad stuff in the back of his head he doesn't want to know -but you do, now, don't you?- and it tastes like panic. He doesn't remember falling asleep. Did Dr. Hill put sedatives in his IV, too? ... the IV is still there.
Dick is there. Jay swallows, blinking sleep out of his eyes. He can still feel the headache in the background- not the blinding pain, not the migraine, but just a reminder.
He doesn't move. And waits for you to move first.]
