[Tim comes home from his shift with a bag of groceries tucked under his arm.] Hello, Max. [He smiles softly at her.] What are you working on?

[smiles fondly and hugs Conner back] 'course... [allows himself to be led and holds his hand out when Max greets him] Hey. Yeah, I'm Conner. It's a pleasure to meet you.

[Tim smiles as they introduce themselves to each other.] Conner... is a really good friend. I'm very happy that he's here.

Nice to meet you, too. [Max shakes his hand with a smile.] Don't worry about knocking next time.

[ducks his head and gives a sheepish laugh] Thank you, I wasn't sure...

[smiles at Deimos and reaches to scratch lightly behind his ears] Hey to you, too.

Max and I were just talking about it... And you could stay here, with us, if you would like to. [Tim flushes in his cheeks a little as he's basically asking Conner to move in with him and Max.]

[Deimos purrs, stretching to give better access. He likes this one. He can stay. Purrrr~]

As long as you want.

[She nods, waiting to see what Conner will say/do.]

Sorry.. @__@ LJ is making this an adventure...

[pauses, then smiles fondly and reaches to brush his fingers against Tim's face, but stops when he remembers that Tim had introduced him as a friend, perhaps he doesn't want Max to know about them... He pulls his hand back and continues scratching Deimos behind the ears]

I would love to stay here with you. [laughs sheepishly] I promise to find a way to pull my own weight around here.

[Tim notices this and slides his hand into Conner's as a gesture to hopefully show that he's told Max without having to say it aloud.]

Then it's settled.

[Max, however, is ... considerably less subtle.]

If you want the apartment to yourselves at anytime, just say so.

[smiles a bit wider and squeezes Tim's hand a bit, and blushing a little bit at Max's comment]

I... thank you. That. Um. [glances at Tim, not sure what the good answer to that is]

[Tim's just blushing and looking at their jointed hands.] Um, that is very kind offer?

[She just shakes her head with a grin, toning down the instinct to tease them a bit more. If they blush any harder, they might just faint.]

I'll get a key made for you tomorrow, Conner.

[plaininplaid]

[rubs the back of his neck slightly and ducks his head with a soft smile]

That.. thank you. Truly, thank you for everything.

I knew you would like him, Max. [Tim smiles a little wider than he normally does.

Tim's family. [Her smile softens as she turns towards Conner. Deimos hasn't left his shoulder.] Guess you're gonna be, too.

[She gives Tim the same smile, pleased that he's happier than she's seen him.] Hey, he makes you happy. [Which is to say, that if he didn't Conner would have one very unhappy genius to deal with. She's v. fond of her roomie.]
